Barcelona vs Real Madrid Prediction: Last Chance For Los Blancos

Barcelona have the chance to put one hand and a few fingers on the La Liga title on Sunday afternoon when they host fierce rivals Real Madrid in the final El Clasico of the season.

Barca are four points clear of Real at the top of the table with four games to play and a win this weekend would all-but lock up a 28th Spanish Championship and complete a domestic treble after Copa del Rey and Supercopa success.

Most betting sites make Hansi Flick's men favorites for the win as they seek to put the disappointment of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final exit behind them.

But Real are desperate to hang on to the crown they won so convincingly last season and this is their last shot at winning domestic silverware this season having finished runners-up to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey and Supercopa.

We've put together our Barcelona vs Real Madrid predictions for Sunday's game, using the best soccer betting sites to find the top odds for our picks.

 Barcelona vs Real Madrid Picks

Barcelona have won all three previous meetings with Real Madrid this season, so it doesn't come as a major surprise to see them odds-on when looking at this match on betting apps

La Blaugrana have been comprehensive winners in two of those matches, beating Real Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu in La Liga and then hammering them 5-2 in the Supercopa final. However, the last game between the two teams was far closer with extra time required to decide the Copa del Rey final in Barca's favor.

Real had led going into the final six minutes of that game but couldn't hang on and are still feeling the effects of that defeat with Antonio Rudiger serving a length suspension for his action in extra-time that leaves Madrid short of options in defense.

Raul Asencio and Aurelien Tchouameni are expected to be the centre-back pairing to face a Barcelona team that's been scoring for fun, netting 91 times in La Liga. The home side could also welcome back star striker Robert Lewandowski from injury to further bolster their deadly frontline.

Real conceded two at home to Celta Vigo last week with the visitors creating chances at will and attack may be the best form of defense for Carlo Ancelotti's men. Kylian Mbappe has rediscovered his scoring touch lately and has netted in his last two games against Barcelona, who have defensive injury concerns of their own with Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde potentially absent.

All three previous Clasicos this season have produced at least three goals and Pinnacle offer -118 odds on this game at least matching that number.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid Betting Tips

Real won't stop Barcelona from scoring, but they may have enough about them to prevent Hansi Flick's men from claiming all three points.

Despite a long list of injuries, Los Blancos should be in better physical shape than Barcelona, who were taken to extra-time by Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. The emotional toll of that defeat is also likely to have a lasting impact on the league leaders.

It's tough to back Barca with too much confidence in this spot, but its hard to have too much confidence in Real either given how easily they've been swept aside by their rivals in two out of three meetings this season. We've yet to have a draw during Ancelotti's time in charge too and it may be best to steer clear of the match odds.

Instead, with so many goals expected, a look at the goalscorer market on Ontario sportsbooks makes more sense.

There's no shortage of options with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha in great form, and Lewandowski back fit for Barca, while Real's Mbappe and Vinicius Jr know where the back of the net is.

But it's the other expected member of Real's attack that catches the eye in Turkish sensation Arda Guler.

He's started the last three games and in that time, he's registered two goals and two assists, including an assist in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.

The 20-year-old is starting to flourish in a Real shirt and has 14 goal involvements in 38 appearances this season, which is a decent return given so many of those appearances have come as a substitute.

Most of the likely goal-scoring or goal-creating talents on both sides have far shorter odds so the value my lie with the in-form Guler at +190 to score or assist.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid Pick 2: Arda Guler to score or assist @ +190 Betway

Barcelona vs Real Madrid line ups and team news

Team news

Barcelona are hopeful Alejandro Balde can be cleared to play after a recent spell out injured with a hamstring injury. Robert Lewandowski could come back into the starting line-up after making his return from injury as a substitute against Inter Milan.

The game comes too soon for Jules Kounde, while Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, and Dani Rodriguez are all out.

Real Madrid have had a selection crisis in defense for most of the season and that continues with Rudiger suspended, David Alaba has injured a knee again and Ferland Mendy is done for the season. They join long-term injury absentees Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao on the sidelines for this game.

Eduardo Camavinga is also out for the season, but Rodrygo could be available again after missing the win over Celta Vigo with an illness.

Expected line ups

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; E Garcia, Cubarsi, Martinez, G Martin; Pedri, De Jong; Yamal, Olmo, Raphinha; Lewandowski

Real Madrid: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Tchouameni, F Garcia; Ceballos, Modric; Guler, Bellingham, Vinicius; Mbappe
