Premier League Predictions Gameweek 30 - Brian McClair On The Panel

Brian McClair's Premier League Picks

Throughout the season, Manchester United and Celtic legend Brian McClair will be giving his predictions for every Premier League game.

In four seasons at Celtic, McClair made 471 appearances in all competitions and scored 127 goals, securing the Scottish Premier League and Scottish FA Cup while finishing as top-scorer for the Hoops on four occasions.

His prolific goalscoring record quickly attracted the attention of clubs south of the border and in 1987, McClair became Alex Ferguson's first signing at Manchester United, going on to win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the European Cup Winners' Cup in his 11 years at Old Trafford.

Brian joins The Panel for the 2024/25 Premier League season to pass expert judgement and give his score predictions for all of the games whilst The Panel examine the football betting sites to find the best odds.

Watch him discuss the games below and keep an eye on how Brian and The Panel get on each week throughout the season.

Nottingham Forest Vs Man Utd, Tuesday, 8pm

Nottingham Forest will host Manchester United at The City Ground on Tuesday as they look to secure a top-four finish.

Forest sit third in the Premier League, boasting one of the league's best home defensive records, having conceded only 10 goals at home this season.

Manchester United, who are 13th in the Premier League table, have had an inconsistent campaign to date. However, they are coming off a convincing 3-0 away win against Leicester City.

Ruben Amorim's side are now unbeaten in their last four league games, but this could be one of the toughest tests of his tenure so far.

Brian says: “Manchester United have done well in the games they’ve not been expected to do well in this season, and I don’t think many people will expect them to win this one.

“United haven’t scored enough goals this season and have been weak at the back, but they are now unbeaten in their last four games with their eyes very much on the Europa League.

“Nottingham Forest are a very difficult team to score against, especially at home, so I don’t see this one being a particularly high scoring affair.”

Brian McClair's Panel Pick 1: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Man Utd - 6.0 With Betovo

Liverpool Vs Everton, Wednesday, 8pm

Liverpool will host Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday as they look to take another step towards the Premier League title.

The Reds sit 12 points clear at the top of the table and know that another five wins will realistically see them crowned champions of England.

Their bitter rivals Everton will be keen to spoil the party, however, and have shown real improvement since the return of David Moyes, whose side are unbeaten in their last six.

Victory for Arne Slot's side, who have won their last three league matches would be the club's 100th over the Toffees and edge them closer to a 20th top-flight crown.

Brian says: “Liverpool were dismal in their League Cup final defeat at Wembley where they were outplayed by a rampant Newcastle side, but in the league, Arne Slot's men have won their last three.

“Everton are 17 points clear of the relegation zone now and a last-minute goal against West Ham meant that February’s manager of the month extended his unbeaten run to six matches.

“However, the last four of those games have been draws and although it's a derby game where anything can happen, I can’t see past a Liverpool victory.”

Brian McClair's Panel Pick 2: Liverpool 2-0 Everton - 4.5 With Betovo
