With Super Bowl LVI set to kick off on Sunday, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is bringing a unique sports betting experience for the marquee football event of the year.

PROLINE+ Partners With NFL

OLG’s PROLINE platform is now an official sportsbook partner of the NFL. The five-year deal means OLG and PROLINE are the NFL’s first official retail lottery and sportsbook partner in Canada.

"We are so excited to announce this partnership given that PROLINE is the only platform for sports bettors in Ontario to place legal, single event wagers and other exciting bets on the Super Bowl at both retail outlets and online at PROLINE+," Dave Pridmore, OLG's Chief Digital and Strategy Officer, said in a media release.

"This exciting collaboration with a world-class organization like the NFL creates new sports entertainment experiences that give sports fans all across the province an incredible opportunity to get closer to the sport they love through exclusive, one-of-a-kind gameplay."

Bettors can expect to see a variety of engaging football content across OLG.ca and the NFL’s digital platforms, along with unique OLG/PROLINE and NFL events both at retail locations and online with PROLINE+.

There will also be exclusive player opportunities in the future.

"As the sports betting landscape continues to evolve, we are excited to partner with OLG in Ontario with the opening of the sports betting market in Canada", Gavin Kemp, NFL Director of Corporate Partnerships, said in the release. "OLG will bring NFL fans in the province a whole new experience in sports gaming entertainment.

”We look forward to working together to create new responsible and innovative ways for football fans to share in the action of the NFL."

New Super Bowl Markets

To commemorate the Super Bowl, PROLINE is giving its players new markets, including the expansion of its prop bet offerings and novelty bets such as:

  • Which team will score the longest touchdown?
  • Coin toss: heads or tails?
  • Who will be named Super Bowl MVP?
  • Team to use first coach’s challenge

As part of the deal, to support the NFL’s commitment to protecting the integrity of the game and its fans, OLG will adhere to the NFL’s core integrity policies, collaborate with the NFL on intelligence sharing and use official League data.

OLG will also promote responsible gambling across all its gaming products and feature online player tools and educational materials from OLG’s globally recognized PlaySmart program, which has received the highest level of certification from the World Lottery Association.

OLG.ca and PROLINE+ will announce more of its Super Bowl plans in the lead-up to Sunday’s game.

There will also be a new weekly online sports video series called “Game Plan.” The premiere episode debuts on Feb. 9 and will feature four-time Super Bowl champion Joe Montana, who will share his thoughts on the matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams.

PROLINE+ Super Bowl Odds

Currently on the PROLINE+ online sportsbook the Rams are 4.5-point favourites (1.94) over the Bengals (1.89).

The Rams are 1.53 moneyline favourites, while the Bengals are 2.60. The total is set at 48.5.
