Vancouver-Based Strive Gaming Moves Aggressively into U.S. Market

On a recent G3 Pulse podcast, Vancouver-based gaming tech firm Strive Gaming CEO Max Meltzer talked about the evolution of the market, technology and product as it related to his company, and the company’s expansion into online casino markets over the past few months.

“The total focus of the organization is to be the leading the player account management system (PAM) in North America,” he said. “We’re benefitting from people looking to outsource more and are looking at specialized expertise, with people recognizing how important PAM is.”

In Michigan, online casino landscape got a little busier a few weeks back with the news that Strive Gaming is partnering with Four Winds Casinos, which operates three casinos in Michigan (and another one in Indiana).

As has been reported on Gambling.com, the Michigan online casino market is projected to reach $2 billion in revenue in 2024, according to data from the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

STRIVE BRINGS IGAMING TECH EXPERTISE

There are currently 15 online Michigan casinos, with operators like casino-first Caesars and BetMGM at the top in terms of market share, along with sports betting and online casino-focused operators like FanDuel and DraftKings

Strive is betting their deep market expertise in the North American gaming industry, and their gaming platform, will deliver what they say are cutting-edge solutions for Four Winds Casino’s online gaming expansion plans for their company.

Four Winds Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Clayton Mason said in a statement that Strive Gaming’s technology and depth of online gaming experience will only boost their existing online casino platform.

Four Winds is owned by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan and Indiana.

RAPID EXPANSION AS MARKETS REGULATE

And earlier in December, Strive entered into an agreement with PointsBet Canada to be their online casino partner in Ontario, leveraging Strive’s tech platform to integrate a diverse selection of content providers in a casino market that generated $13.7 billion in wagers in Q3 (period ended Dec. 31, 2023) according to iGaming Ontario.

“We've really established ourselves now,” Meltzer said on the podcast. “Our complete focus is to try and be that number one provider and be excellent at what we do. So, it's been quite a journey, and been very enjoyable so far.”

Meltzer added there are more deals and licensing announcements (Pennsylvania, New Jersey among the U.S. states where they are working on licenses) coming soon. They are live in Colorado with Betsafe, Arizona with Desert Diamond and Golden Nugget, and in Ontario with Betsson, and soon with PointsBet.

“Tribal operators like Four Winds have a huge opportunity, great databases, very loyal customers,” he added. “They have higher player lifetime values just sitting there, they just need to know how to activate them for an omnichannel experience.”
