The Atlanta Hawks are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference and trail the seventh place Cleveland Cavaliers by 1.5-games. They come into Scotiabank Arena to take on a hot Toronto Raptors team that has moved up in the conference standings of late.

The Raptors had their five-game win streak snapped against no. 1 seed Miami Heat 114-109 Monday as 5-point home favourites.

The Raptors have 10 of their past 13 games and have covered the spread in nine of those 15 games.

The Hawks have won five consecutive games and covered the spread in all of them. In their previous game, they beat the Brooklyn Nets as 3-point home underdogs, despite shooting 41% from the field.

So how should you spend your NBA betting money on this one?

Look At The Trends

The Raptors opened as 4-point favourites and have moved the minimum amount to be installed as a 4.5-point home favourite over the Hawks.

The total opened at 226.5 points and it has been a linemaker's dream to see that number not change.

The following betting system has earned a 70-35 against the spread record, good for 67% winning bets over the past 25 NBA seasons.

The requirements are to bet on home favourites of 3.5 to 9.5 points after beating the spread by 30 or more points spanning their past five games and in a matchup of modestly winning teams sporting win percentages between 41 and 50% on the season.

This system has gone 20-10-1 against the spread for 67% winning bets over the past five seasons.

Take the Raptors against the spread.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Indiana Pacers

The Philadelphia 76ers are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, tied with the Milwaukee Bucks, giving tonight’s game a nice incentive.

The 76ers travel to Indianapolis to take on the Pacers, who are in the 13th position. Philly needs to be focused on the Pacers, a team it should. A win certainly helps in the standings.

The Trends and Angles are Revealing

The Pacers have lost seven consecutive games and have failed to cover the spread in five of those seven games. They have seen the Over win the money in four consecutive games, reflecting their lack of motivation to defend.

The Pacers are 12-27 ATS when facing a team attempting 24 or fewer free throws per game in the second half (after 41 or more games) in each of the past three seasons.

They are 22-39 ATS when facing solid 3-point shooting teams making 36% or more of those shots over the past two seasons.

The 76ers rank third in the Association, averaging 23.9 free throw attempts per game this season.

Doc Rivers is 51-32 ATS following one or more Under results as coach of the 76ers.

The Pacers are on a seven-game losing streak and have 12 losses in the past 15 games. In eight of the past 11 games, the Pacers have allowed opponents to shoot at least 50% from the field and 55% and higher in five of those games.

I am confident that the 76ers will shoot at least 48% from the field in this game. In games over the past three seasons, they have done that, the 76ers are 17-4 and rank 11th, making 36% of their shots from beyond the arc.

The 76ers have lost five of the past seven games against the spread but note that they are 17-6 against the spread after failing to cover in five or six of their last seven games spanning the last two seasons.

The 76ers are the bet to make in this game.
