Betting Odds: Bill, Jets Matchup Tops NFL Weekend
Across Canada it’s Grey Cup Weekend, with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes set to go toe-to-toe Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
All the sportsbooks in Canada expect a good deal of action on the game, and there will be robust prop markets available for bettors leading up to kickoff.
But for many bettors, that action will be mixed in with heavy wagering on top-tier NFL matchups this weekend.
And things are getting more interesting in the NFL, heading into Week 11.
Burrow Out, But Other Quarterbacks Return From Injuries
First and foremost on the Ontario front is the plight of the Buffalo Bills (5-5) in a must-win scenario, with a playoff spot more and more on the line, hosting the New York Jets (4-5), 4:35 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. The Bills are heavily favoured at BetMGM Sportsbook — the moneyline favours the Bills (1.33).
The Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey at the start of the week, and all eyes are on adjustments made by his replacement, Joe Brady.
On the injury front (outside of the major news that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is out for the season with a wrist injury), the biggest news for Week 11 is the return from injuries of Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears (3-7) and Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams (3-6).
The Bears are in Detroit taking on the Lions and are big underdogs at 4.20 at NorthStar Bets. The Lions are 1.24.
Meanwhile, the Rams with Stafford back are slight underdogs (1.95), hosting the Seahawks.
Injury Update, Player Props
Wide receiver Keenan Allen is back for the Los Angeles Chargers (4-5) as they take on the Green Bay Packers (3-6). Wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is questionable for the Minnesota Vikings (6-4) for their game against the Denver Broncos (4-5).
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the most-bet player props include Kansas City Chiefs (7-2) tight end Travis Kelce anytime touchdown scorer (1.83) in their game against the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1).
Other player prop bets getting action include Tyreek Hill, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins (6-3) for first touchdown scorer (5.00) in their game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and Detroit running back David Montgomery to rush over 49.5 yards (1.87) in the Lions' game on Sunday against Chicago.
