Bragg Acquires Ontario Gaming-Related Supplier Licence

Bragg Gaming Group announced this week that it was granted one of the first iGaming licenses by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario — the agency that oversees the “modern and regulated” iGaming and sports betting market in Ontario.

What the Licence Means for Bragg

With this licence, Bragg, founded in 2018, will be able to supply localized iGaming and sports betting operators with its “player account management (PAM) platform,iGambing content and managed services” when the iGaming markets open on April 4.

Before receiving its licence from the AGCO, Bragg took the necessary steps to ensure that its technology and content were in compliance and regulated.

Now, the company can begin making partnership deals and bringing its titles into existing infrastructures instead of just in-house.

Additionally, Bragg can provide “exclusive content” from third-party content partners to a more localized setting.

Online Operators Going Live Soon in Ontario

Ontario is the first province in Canada to allow for private operators for online casino and sports betting.

Outside of Ontario, local lotteries have a monopoly instead of a licensing system.

In allowing these licences, the estimates for the online sports betting and iGaming around in the area of $2 billion in 2022 alone, according to H2 Gambling Capital.
