CFL Betting Game of the Week

British Columbia Lions 1.63 at Toronto Argonauts 2.32

Last week featured a few props hitting and a split overall week. Who knew Calgary was going to keep making mistake after mistake? Those two Jake Meier interceptions were brutal enough, but the injury to Malik Henry was a cruel blow to the Stampeders and wagerers alike.

For those who are sports betting in Canada, the question is can British Columbia get through the dreaded letdown game? The Lions finally beat and demolished Winnipeg in Winnipeg. Now, they head to Toronto to face last year’s Grey Cup winner. Chad Kelly and company are not an easy foe to face.

British Columbia was clinical on defense last week versus the Blue Bombers. They allowed six points on the road after allowing 43 there last season. That 21 points yielded is the best in the league. Yes, Toronto comes in with a prolific offense, but the same was said about Winnipeg heading into Week 3.

Toronto has to spread the ball out and run a bit more early. Use the run to set up the pass and hope their offensive line holds up. British Columbus beat Winnipeg’s front seven on both sides of the ball. That also helped Vernon Adams Jr. make a few extra plays on offense.

So, what can British Columbia do against Toronto for an encore? That’s a great question. The Lions shut down Collaros. Why couldn’t they do the same or similar to Green? Toronto’s defense allowed 31 points to Edmonton so that British Columbia may have a margin of error.

Expect British Columbia to try to slow down the game at times. However, look at their team Over when it opens up as well. Toronto may be one of the few teams that catches the Lions on their laurels. This contest figures to be close, and British Columbia has the stones to squeeze one out.

Crazy CFL Bet of the Week

Edmonton Elks 2.32 at Ottawa Redblacks 1.63

This is wild because hardly anyone is surprised by Edmonton and Ottawa’s records. Yet, the Redblacks are a three-point favourite here. The fun parts are how to go batty even on the tiniest of wagers.

Edmonton has seen some humiliating losses but showed signs of life at home against Toronto last week. Ottawa dropped both games this year, averaging a mere 13.5 points per game. Neither team seems to have much to worry about regarding offense.

On the other hand, Edmonton scored 31 last week and showed they could move the ball with Jarret Doege, and the run game can open up some holes on an inefficient Ottawa defense. They can win if the Elks can limit their mistakes and establish the run.

Let’s take on that win outright at 2.32. After our crazy bet hitting again last week with the Toronto-Edmonton Over by both teams, let’s take it down a notch.
