CFL Betting Advice: Going Against The Spread!

Week 17, for Canadian Sports Bettors, was not too bad. This weekend features one game on Friday, two on Saturday, and one more Thanksgiving afternoon.

Can Edmonton cover on the road? Can Montreal haul in Toronto in the East? There are many questions.

Here is our ATS Table as Week 18 approaches.

Let’s try to help those Ontario Sports Bettors’ bankrolls while looking into some games. Here is the CFL Week 18 Schedule.

This Week’s Schedule with Moneylines (All Times Eastern)

  • Saskatchewan Rough Riders 2.15 at Hamilton Tiger-Cats 1.72, Friday, 7:30 p.m.
  • British Columbia Lions 2.02 at Toronto Argonauts 1.81, Saturday, 4 p.m.
  • Edmonton Elks 5.74 at Winnipeg Blue Bombers 1.15, Saturday, 7 p.m.
  • Ottawa Redblacks 3.50 at Montreal Alouettes 1.59, Monday, 1 p.m.

Game of the Week

British Columbia Lions 2.02 at Toronto Argonauts 1.81

Toronto had a chance to make a push last week with their Grey Cup odds and naturally took a step back. Everything went wrong, and we do mean everything. The Argonauts fell flat on their faces scoring just two points. That is no misprint. Toronto lost 29-2 in Calgary.

For Canadian Sports Bettors, British Columbia keeps finding a way to stay ahead of Calgary for second place in the West Division. At 10-4, Vernon Adams Jr. and company may not have quite the same buzz as when Nathan Rourke was on center but so far, so good.

Canadian Sports Bettors may note that British Columbia tops the league against the spread at 9-5. Only the Montreal Alouettes can share such a mark.

The Argonauts looked like they were on to better times, and then Calgary parked the Toronto offense in neutral. McLeod Bethel-Thompson was held to 85 yards in the first half. Then Calgary poured on 15 fourth-quarter points to make the score further lopsided.

British Columbia looked better again last week against Ottawa and took care of business (the Over and spread both hitting helped). Toronto is 2-4 against the West. That is less than optimal.

Bet British Columbia outright at 2.02.

Crazy Bet of the Week

Edmonton Elks 5.74 at Winnipeg Blue Bombers 1.15

Edmonton played a bit better at home last week but lost by seven points against Montreal. The Alouettes are 7-7 and may just win the East Division.

The Elks managed 17 points in the first half but none in the second. It seems Edmonton enjoys better second halves on the road. They are .500 on the road and still have a bagel in Edmonton.

Winnipeg has little to play for. They are going to be the top seed. The Blue Bombers might take the Elks too lightly. Try the Elks +13 here.
