WSOP.ca is off to a flying start in Ontario, so much so that three official bracelet events have been added to the World Series of Poker Online schedule.

Less than a month after Ontario’s online poker market went live, WSOP.ca has moved to the top of the traffic rankings. According to the latest statistics, WSOP has leapfrogged PokerStars to become the biggest site in Ontario’s ring-fenced market.

Ontario Online Poker Market Making Big Moves

WSOP.ca has a 24-hour cash game peak of 335 players, while PokerStars is hitting 230. The bracelet event news will almost certainly increase the number of players using the site. That should translate to an even greater number of players sitting down at the cash game tables.

Regardless of the Ontario online poker standings, the exploding market prompted WSOP.ca and partner GGPoker to create new bracelet events. The events are an extension of the WSOP’s online offerings in the U.S. and beyond.

COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021 changed the game for WSOP bracelet events. With no other option but to run them online, the WSOP’s brain trust conceived of a new series of online bracelet races.

That meant players in the U.S. could use WSOP.com, while international players could compete for bling on GGPoker. Now, Ontario residents have the same ability and the chance to play for three official WSOP titles before the end of October.
