One of a number of bingo sites from 888, YAY Bingo has one major selling point that instantly sets it apart from competitors: no wagering is required for any of its games. This is a pretty innovative feature – and even though the site opened its virtual doors in 2018, it has the potential to become a major player in online gaming as a result.
Another area that YAY Bingo stands out is in new player bonuses and welcome packages. These are very good compared to competitors, especially because you get full value thanks to the no wagering requirement. While there are no ongoing VIP schemes at present, there are regular competitions and offers to be found via social media pages like Facebook.
One area YAY Bingo does really deliver on is the selection of games you can play. There are over 300 slots from leading providers like NetEnt and IGT and while you won't find some standout titles that you might be used to on other casinos, it's a big enough choice to keep you entertained if you're looking for a quick spin between bingo games.
The bingo options are solid. There's a variety of games including 75 ball bingo, 90 ball bingo and even a few scratch cards. Add in a wide range of jackpots and you'll be able to find a game to suit you, whether you want a quick game for a £4 jackpot, or want to go all in for a £1000 win.
It's still early days for the community at YAY Bingo, but given how friendly and welcoming most online bingo communities are in general, you can expect to find something similar here. This is doubly true given that the site will want to make a good first impression on new members. Couple this with the no wagering aspect of the site and word of mouth should spread pretty fast.
As 888 runs the site, it's probably no surprise to find out that the bingo software and most of the backend is provided by Dragonfish, which also develops and operates other 888 brands, like 888ladies. Given how new the site is, you'll also find that it runs very well on both PC and mobile, with everything feeling responsive and polished.
YAY Bingo has also opted for the scroll down layout, which means no needless clicking. Given the fact Dragonfish has plenty of experience running sites like this, you can also generally expect to find little to no bugs or dead links etc, which can often plague smaller sites.
As you might expect, the YAY Bingo mobile site is pretty much identical to the main desktop experience, with the usual changes. That said, there are a few downsides worth pointing out. First of all, when you load up the mobile site you're taken straight to the log in screen.
This is fine if you're already a member, but quite irritating if you wanted to have a quick look around first. Secondly, if you're not using Chrome on your mobile device you might get a slightly less optimised experience. Overall though, everything is just as responsive as the desktop experience.
While the general quality of user experience is good, there are a few areas in which YAY Bingo really misses the mark. Given how new the site is, it's hard to find an excuse for it. On the plus side, the scroll down design and overall layout of the site is great. You can easily find the login and sign up boxes and a help tab follows you wherever you go on the site too.
Problems start if you want to access more detailed help (which we'll cover a bit more in the support section below), or want to filter slots. There's no separate section of the site for slots, so you're essentially limited to whatever random titles the site decides to present to you. It's possible this reviewer missed something of course, but otherwise there's no way to quickly choose the kind of slot you want.
Considering this is standard on almost every other casino site, it's a bit baffling that YAY overlooked this. There are a few other similar quibbles, which basically boil down to the site needing a bit more user control. Not bad overall, but you might expect better given the site was only released this year.

All major deposit and withdrawal options are here, including debit cards, Neteller and PayPal. Support is available via a chat window if you're playing, but also via email, contact number and through the site's Facebook page. Locating the email address on the site itself is a bit of a needless faff, but otherwise the team is easy to reach.
For a new site, YAY Bingo is both excellent and bizarrely frustrating. The fact you don't ever need to wager is obviously excellent, as you take home all your winnings, but some questionable design decisions could make the site quite a pain to use in the long term. It's early days though and these can easily be addressed.
