Caoimhin Kelleher Next Club Odds: Newcastle Favourites To Sign Kelleher
Arne Slot's post-match comments following Liverpool's 1-0 Champions League win at Girona made it clear who his first choice goalkeeper will be for the foreseeable future.
Alisson's saves helped the Reds claim all three points and kept them top of the table with a perfect six wins from six in Europe.
Slot's side are the favourites on football betting sites to be crowned champions of Europe for the second time in seven seasons.
The Girona win was Alisson's first match back after a hamstring injury in early October sidelined him for 11 league and cup games, during which time Caoimhin Kelleher deputised brilliantly.
However, the Brazilian's performance reaffirmed Slot's belief that his returning keeper is the best in the world.
When asked about Alisson's performance in Spain, Slot said: "He showed today, and I don't think anybody needed him to show it today, because everybody knows he's the best goalkeeper in the world.
"But he showed today that he definitely is this, because he was so important for us with so many saves."
Those comments won't be welcomed by Kelleher, who has already made it clear that he will leave Anfield in the pursuit of first team football.
When Liverpool signed Giorgi Mamardashvili to their squad in the summer, it suggested they see the Georgia international as the long-term successor to Alisson.
In response, Kelleher revealed he asked to leave. "The club made the decision to get another goalkeeper," he said.
"From the outside looking in, it looks like they have made a decision to go in another direction.
"My ambition has always been clear the last few seasons that I want to be a No.1. It has been reported that Liverpool had rejected a few bids as well.
"It is not always in my hands to make the decision. My ambition is to prove I am good enough to play week in, week out."

Newcastle Favourites To Sign Kelleher
It's fair to say Newcastle's season has not gone as well as their fans would have hoped for.
Without European football, the Magpies were expected to challenge for a top-four spot at the very least, but a return of 20 points from their first 15 games has left them well off the pace.
Manager Eddie Howe will be keen to strengthen his squad in January and a new goalkeeper might be on his list.
The Magpies, who are 11/8 to sign the Irish international, have been linked with Kelleher in recent weeks.

Chelsea Also Linked With Kelleher
Chelsea are a club without a settled first-choice goalkeeper.
It is clear that Robert Sanchez is the regular starter for Enzo Maresca for now, but the club will almost certainly be looking to improve on the Spaniard in the coming months.
If Kelleher is to become available, which it looks like he will be, it would not be a surprise to see Chelsea enter the race.
Chelsea are the 6/4 second favourites to be Kelleher's next club.
Forest Have Shown Interest Before
Nottingham Forest made more than one offer for Kelleher in the summer, so it is no surprise that they have odds of 5/2 in this market.
A move to Forest would no doubt appeal to Kelleher also. He would get first-team football at Premier League level and former goalkeeper Nuno Espirito Santo will know just how good the Irish international is.
Matz Sels is the incumbent at the City Ground, but he always felt like a stopgap.
Forest are actively looking to upgrade on the former Newcastle keeper and they are likely to go back in for Kelleher.
Celtic Can Offer Champions League Football
Celtic's dominance in Scottish football looks set to continue for the foreseeable future with arch rivals Rangers 11 points adrift in the table.
The Hoops, who have been champions of Scotland for 12 of the last 13 seasons, are progressing well in the Champions League and while they have Kasper Schmeichel, a long-term goalkeeper is something Celtic will be addressing.
Schmeichel is now 38 and the chance to sign a player of Kelleher's ability should be taken in January.
The Irish keeper would be a very popular signing with Hoops supporters. Celtic are priced at 3/1 with football betting sites.
Juventus Lead The Italian Way
If Kelleher decides to try his luck in one of the four other major leagues in Europe, then Juventus could be his next stop.
Juventus have Michele Di Gregorio, who joined the club on loan from Monza in the summer.
Since taking over from Wojciech Szczesny, Di Gregorio has helped Juventus keep eight clean sheets in 14 games.
However, if they cannot make the loan signing permanent, then Juventus (4/1) will have to look elsewhere and Kelleher would be near the top of their wishlist.
Bayern Move Makes Sense
Bayern are not opposed to signing players from clubs based in Britain, with Harry Kane a prime example.
Kane has broken a number of goalscoring records since joining from Tottenham and Kelleher could see himself as part of the German side going forward.
Manuel Neuer has been Bayern's first-choice keeper for over a decade and at 38, plans are being made to find his long-term replacement.
Bayern are 9/2 to sign Kelleher.
Brentford Are Also In The Mix
Brentford could be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to replace Mark Flekken.
Flekken was signed to replace David Raya in 2023, but his form for the Bees has been less than reassuring.
Aged 31, Flekken is not the future and now might be the time to find a long-term solution for their goalkeeping situation.
With Flekken in goal, the Bees have kept one clean sheet this season. Brentford are 5/1 to sign Kelleher.
Tottenham Need Replacement For Vicario
Tottenham were dealt a major injury blow when it was revealed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will be sidelined for "months not weeks", according to manager Ange Postecoglou.
Vicario broke a bone in his ankle and played the final 60 minutes of Spurs' emphatic 4-0 win at Manchester City. Fraser Forster is deputising for Vicario for the time being.
Postecoglou will have to wait until January to sign a new goalkeeper, and Kelleher would be a safe pair of hands as Tottenham chase a top-four finish and a return to Champions League football next season.
Spurs are 7/1 to be Kelleher's next club.
Wolves Need Dependable Keeper To Stay Up
No team has conceded more Premier League goals than Wolves so far this season.
The 38 goals in just 15 games is one of the reasons why the Molineux side are 19th in the table.
Manager Gary O'Neil remains one of the favourites for the sack and he will hope to still be in charge when the transfer window opens in January.
Signing a player of Kelleher's capabilities could help keep Wolves up and they are 8/1 to sign the Liverpool keeper.
Other clubs in the market to sign Kelleher include West Ham (10/1) and Inter Milan (14/1).
