Liam Gallagher's Definitely Maybe Tour: Manchester Reunion Still On The Cards
When Liam Gallagher hits the road, Oasis fans wonder if this will finally be the moment his estranged brother Noel Gallagher joins him for a long-awaited reunion.
In May 2023, Liam delighted Oasis supporters when the defunct group's former frontman revealed he was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's debut album, Definitely Maybe, by playing it in full at a handful of "Biblical venues".
The news had fans salivating in their droves, and while this is quite clearly a Liam Gallagher tour, rather than an Oasis one alongside Noel, it sparked further speculation on betting sites that a colossal comeback could be on the cards for the Don't Look Back In Anger hitmakers.

Widely regarded as one of indie's greatest debut albums of all time, Definitely Maybe was the fastest selling debut album ever in British history when it was released on August 30th, 1994.
The era-defining LP has spent a mammoth 541 weeks on the Official Albums Chart, and Liam himself has admitted he "wouldn't be anywhere" without the record.
So far, Liam has ticked off 12 dates on his 14-date tour, which has seen the star play in his home city of Manchester as well as Sheffield, Cardiff, London, Glasgow and Dublin
While an Oasis reunion is yet to come to fruition on the Definitely Maybe tour, there are two dates remaining, and both are in Manchester, where it all began for the warring brothers.
Might they Bring It On Down together one more time?
Liam Fans The Flames
While rumours of an Oasis comeback have been rife for some time, it has been more in hope than expectation.
Liam and his brother Noel - Oasis' guitarist and chief songwriter - have been at loggerheads for years, ever since they had a huge backstage bust-up at the band's final concert, at Paris' Rock en Seine festival, in 2009. From that day, Oasis were no more.
They say it's the hope that kills you, but Oasis super-fans have needed to cling onto something over the years, and the rumours appear to be gathering momentum.
Oasis To Reunite On Liam's Definitely Maybe Tour Odds
Outcome | Odds | Probability |
Yes | 4/6 | 60% |
No | 6/4 | 40% |
Just last weekend, it was reported by the Sunday Mirror newspaper that Liam and Noel had secretly booked three Oasis reunion dates at Wembley for July 8th, 9th, and 10th, only for the plans to "collapse".
A source told the publication: "An Oasis reunion has been hoped for for years. This year would have been the big moment, 30 years on from their debut album Definitely Maybe.
"But until now, no one has known how close Liam and Noel came to making it a reality. It doesn’t get much closer than booking Wembley, and their teams were devastated when it all collapsed yet again.
"But the fact they made it to that point shows there’s a will on both sides. The hope is it will be a case of not if, but when."
Could it be as early as this year?
Despite there being just two dates left on Liam's Definitely Maybe tour, what better place for the pair to reunite than Manchester?
It's 4/6 on specials betting sites that the siblings make an historic comeback at the Co-op Live arena on Thursday or Friday, the final date of Liam's Definitely Maybe Tour, and 8/11 that the pair reunite at some point this year.
That could, of course, be at Wembley, and Liam has commented on the story.
He wrote on X: "So these so called dates oasis held for a comeback are on a Monday Tuesday and Wednesday leave it out you s****bubbles LG x (sic)"
However, he hasn't denied the comeback could be a possibility, adding: "On a Monday Tuesday Wednesday f**k that man we gotta be Saturday Sunday surely (sic)"
Liam has even hinted he is definitely interested in an Oasis reunion.
When a fan asked him to "please bring back Oasis" and called for "all the foolishness and pettiness to stop", Liam replied on X: "I’m ready to go Rasta my bags are packed (sic)"
If it doesn't happen this year, then it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Liam and Noel can get together in 2025 (3/1) or 2026 (5/1).
It could've even already happened by now on Liam's Definitely Maybe tour.
When Will Oasis Reunite Odds

2024 | 8/11 | 57.9% |
2025 | 3/1 | 25% |
2026 | 5/1 | 16.7% |
2027 Or Later | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Never | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Liam previously claimed Noel had "been asked and refused" to be a part of the tour, and during one Definitely Maybe show, an eagle-eyed fan spotted a sign on a seat which read: "Reserved. Noel Gallagher".
That, of course, sparked Oasis super-fans into overdrive with talk of a potential comeback.
Just days later, on June 15th, a fan then asked Liam if it's true he saves a seat for Noel for every gig.
He replied: "Yes, you never know"
Manchester Reunion
If Noel is to join Liam for a surprise appearance on the Definitely Maybe Tour, it was always thought Manchester would be the most likely destination, and now that is the only possible destination in the current run of gigs.
He is 4/6 at some new betting sites to join Liam in blasting out some of their indie mega-anthems, including Rock 'n' Roll Star, Live Forever, Supersonic, Slide Away and Cigarettes & Alcohol later this week.
In April, Liam dropped a huge hint that former Oasis bassist Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan could appear on the Definitely Maybe Tour.
When asked on X if Guigsy will be joining him on stage, Liam replied: "He knows where I am".
However, Guigsy is yet to join Liam on the run of shows, and he is now out to 3/1 to perform alongside him at the Co-op Live arena later this week if you fancy a short odds market to use your free bet offers on.
Who Could Guest Star On The Definitely Maybe Tour In Manchester Odds
Celebrity | Odds | Probability |
Noel Gallagher | 4/6 | 60% |
John Squire | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan | 3/1 | 25% |
Kasabian | 4/1 | 16.7% |

Happy Mondays | 6/1 | 14.3% |
The Stone Roses | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Ian McCulloch | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Other stars who could still make a Definitely Maybe Tour appearance on stage include Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who is 5/1 on betting apps.
The former Nirvana stickman - who drummed on Liam's 2022 track Everything's Electric - has already been there as a fan, when he attended Liam's fourth and final Definitely Maybe show at London's The O2 earlier this month.
And Liam dedicated 1994 hit single Cigarettes & Alcohol to the music legend, telling the crowd: "Right then you f***ing lunatics. This one’s for the one and only Dave Grohl."
Dave previously told Classic Rock magazine: "I've recorded with a lot of people and I've jammed with a lot of my heroes and now I've got f****** Liam on that list as well and I'm very proud to say that."
Whether Noel decides to join his brother in Manchester this week or not, it will not affect Liam's mood.
He has been hitting X regularly throughout the run of gigs and praising fans for their "Biblical" support at every venue.
When asked on Tuesday how the tour is going, Liam replied on X: "Exactly how I imagined"
Oasis fans have watched on for 15 years as the estranged siblings have publicly exchanged jibes with one another via interviews, stage appearances and social media ever since they went their separate ways in 2009.
This year has already seen plenty of speculation about their potential reunion, with the flames appearing to be fanned more and more each time.
Could a Manchester homecoming be on the cards? The scenes would be more biblical than even Liam could imagine.
