NFL Week 8 Picks: The Panel's Picks For Sunday, Including Bears @ Commanders

There are 14 games on Sunday's slate of games in Week 8 of the NFL, eight in the early window, five following that and the Cowboys' trip to San Francisco in the night game.

The best betting sites have the best odds on the most popular markets for all games.

Packers Vs. Jaguars Pick: Jags And Packers To Pile Up The Points

Green Bay and Jacksonville both feature offenses that can score points. The problem with the Jaguars is that they can give up a bunch of points as well.

The Packers are 5-2 on the season since they lost a wild opener in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the bets to consider would be Jordan Love Over 1.5 touchdowns passing, considering 85% of the Packers’ touchdowns have been through the air.

Making matters worse for Jacksonville is that pass defense. Offenses are shredding them through the air for almost 273.9 yards per game this season. The Jags are ranked 30th or worse in four primary pass-defense metrics, including yards and touchdowns.

With the Packers giving up their share of touchdowns via the pass (10), do not be surprised if this game turns into a shootout. Take that Over on NFL betting sites.

Our NFL Picks For Week 8

Ravens Vs. Browns Prediction: Baltimore To Cover Against The Browns

The Cleveland Browns are 1-6 and seem focused on battling for the top pick in next year’s draft.

The Ravens laying 8.5 points is worth considering. The only concern is Baltimore’s penchant for allowing teams to make things interesting by scoring points in garbage time.

It happened against the Raiders in Week 2, and there have been close calls since which have not eased some concerns. Tampa Bay scored 31 points against the Ravens on Monday night.

Baltimore’s running game, with Derrick Henry leading the ground game, tops the league by a long way, and it again piled up 244 rushing yards last week. With a top-five passing offense, that should be enough to get the better of Cleveland.

The Panel, as well as most betting apps agree that the Ravens should win by nine points or more.

Bears Vs. Commanders Preview: Commanders To Win Without Daniels

The Washington Commanders showed they could win without rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Granted, it was against Carolina, but they will be at home against the Chicago Bears.

As good as the Bears have been lately, Washington is not the same as it was last season. The Commanders running very well, running for 214 yards last week.

That is the fourth time this season Washington ran for 200 or more yards, which is one reason why they have a 5-2 record.

The potential that Daniels could still play gives us hope, but the fact that Washington runs the ball well, can keep them in the game to win even without their star rookie play caller.

The Panel are backing Washington to find a way to win at home on Sunday.
