Tom Lee's Panel Tips For Saturday, November 23:

Barnsley Vs Wigan, Saturday 3pm

"I need a dollar" sang artist Aloe Blacc in his 2010 hit on his album Good Things.

Some good things have been eluding this column in recent weeks, and rather than a dollar, right now what we need is a winner, especially with the profit and loss now teetering at a precarious positive of just 2.83.

Hopefully the two sides up to the task this weekend reside in Leagues One and Two, so without further ado, here's the recipe for what with any luck is a successful Saturday combination.

Barnsley let us down last weekend, falling behind after four minutes at Cambridge, before quickly hitting back via a 17th-minute strike from in-form Stephen Humphrys.

A total of 14 shots combined with 63% possession tell their own story on a frustrating afternoon at the Abbey Stadium for the Tykes, the final score petering out to a dissatisfactory 1-1 on the road.

They can redeem themselves on their return to Oakwell, with a big crowd anticipated for the visit of strugglers Wigan.

Darrell Clarke's men have scored twice in five of their seven home league games to date, and have scored in all of those games.

The idea of them taking out last Saturday's frustrations on goal-shy Wigan is undeniably appealing. It's fifth against 19th, and the visitors are without a win in five in the league.

Away from home, the Latics been especially disappointing, taking only six points from an available 24, while scoring only three in seven (if you discount their 4-0 joyride against a then hapless Bristol Rovers).

The league table and fixture calendar make this a tantalising fixture for Barnsley. Win and move to 29 points, putting them right in the mix on a weekend where high-flyers Lincoln entertain Wycombe, meaning one or indeed both could sacrifice vital points.

Fingers crossed Barnsley will capitalise at odds of 19/20 on betting apps.

Carlisle Vs Doncaster, Saturday 3pm

Since qualifying for the second round of the FA Cup, where they'll face Kettering next weekend, Doncaster Rovers have twice been held 1-1 at home.

Those dropped points mean they trail leaders Port Vale by five points, sitting level with Crewe who are second, the Railwaymen's noses in front by virtue of superior goal difference.

Conveniently, Vale and Crewe have to wait until Monday evening to play each another, by which time I think Donny will have decisively closed the gap by delivering the goods at 23rd-placed Carlisle.

Rovers boss Grant McCann challenged his forwards to be more clinical after the most recent of those 1-1 scorelines.

His team unable to put the game to bed despite mustering 12 shots against a weak Salford City.

Expect them to come out of the traps fast at Brunton Park, buoyed by some huge results on their travels, notably away wins at the expense of Port Vale, Grimsby and Bradford.

Carlisle could very well be the ideal hosts. Just four points have been accumulated from a possible 21 in their seven home league games to date.

The overall picture is equally daunting; no side has let in more than their total of 29 goals conceded.

Back Doncaster to bag all three points on their travels at Evens on football betting sites.
