New to the world of sports betting are Sportuna, an online bookmaker that only launched in 2024 but has already caused a stir among the more established betting sites.

Sportuna first appeared as an online casino in 2022 but have now added a sportsbook to their platform.

A quick browse of the desktop site quickly conveys the feeling that Sportuna has plenty to offer. At the top of the page, there is a decent-sized list of promotions available to scroll through, most of which cover multiple sports.

There is also a solid in-play service offered on a good number of the events they cover, and Sportuna cover a lot of different events.

Sportuna are currently giving new customers the opportunity to double their initial deposit, up to a maximum of $200 NZD.

We found Sportuna had priced up numerous rugby matches for both codes way ahead of several rival rugby betting sites with odds available on games from across the globe.

There’s also a good outright betting section on Sportuna for rugby, a feature that is often overlooked by other sports betting sites.

Sportuna don’t have any rugby-specific offers, but they do have a couple of sport offers that can be applied to rugby, including their multi bet boost.

Place a multi of three legs or more with each selection priced at 1.40 or greater and if it wins, Sportuna will boost your payout, starting at 3% for winning trebles and going up to 100 per cent for successful multis comprising 21 legs or more.

Sportuna Cricket Promotions

Cricket bettors should find plenty they like on Sportuna, with our attention drawn to the excellent graphics and stats that accompany in-play cricket matches.

With no live streaming available, the graphics and stats do a good job of telling the story of a match.

Those who enjoy regular cricket betting can take advantage of Sportuna’s cashback bonus, with up to $1,000 available in cashback on all sports betting losses.

Sportuna Horse Racing Promotions

Sportuna keep their horse racing betting section separate from the main sports hub on its own mini-site, which also includes trotting and greyhound racing.

There punters will find cards from all over the world available to bet on, with a good number of races accompanied by a live stream so you can watch the action unfold.

Again, there are no horse racing-specific offers, but racing bettors can benefit from the 50% weekly deposit bonus, which has a maximum value of NZD 1,000.

Football bettors will enjoy not only the accumulator profit boost but also the two goal early payout on Sportuna.

If you back a team in to win a match and they go two goals up at any point in the game, you’ll be paid out as a winner, no matter the final result. This offer only applies to select competitions.

In-Play Betting Options & Features

Sportuna push their in-play betting service hard, placing current live events front and centre on the homepage of both the desktop and mobile sites.

We found the odds updated quickly while the match was ongoing and there was minimal lag between selecting a bet and placing the wager.

Live odds are offered on a huge number of sports. We wrote this review on a weekday afternoon and there were no less than 13 sports, including esports, to bet on live at that time.

Live streaming is available but only for a small number of events. Increasing the number of live streams would take Sportuna’s good in-play service to the next level.

Same-Game Multi

Sportuna’s same-game multi tool is known as a bet builder on their platform and is available across a range of sports, including football and basketball.

Punters can combine up to six bets from the same game into a single wager and Sportuna, unlike some other new bookmakers, provide a broad range of markets for their same game multis.

It’s easy to find the bet builder option at the top of an event page and we had no issues putting together a same game multi. Our one minor complaint would be that the odds are not displayed next to bets so you don’t know what price each leg of your bet builder is without checking the bet slip.

Sportuna Mobile Betting Review

Given how new Sportuna’s sports betting site, it’s perhaps not a surprise they’ve yet to move into the world of bookmaker betting apps.

For now, if you want to use Sportuna on your mobile device, bettors will need to head to the mobile version of the site.

The desktop site isn’t the easiest to navigate, and putting it on a smaller screen doesn’t make life any easier. However, it is still perfectly functional, and you can access all the same features as the desktop version.
