BetMGM was formed when the iconic MGM Resorts joined forces with Entain Holdings to create what's quickly become one of the UK's heavyweight betting sites.
The bookie, which is operated by LeoVegas and has a UK Gambling Commission licence, hit the UK market in August 2023 and has been building a reputation as a reliable name ever since.
BetMGM sponsored the 2024 Darts Premier League and has a partnership with Premier League teams Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves.
There are over 30 different sports to bet on and plenty of novelty markets, including politics and TV with a strong variety of betting offers to choose from.
Below I’ll take a deep dive into BetMGM and see if it’s a UK betting site that’s worth your time.

The BetMGM welcome bonus is a generous Bet £10, Get £40 in free bets. All you need to do is create an account and deposit at least £10.
From there, place a qualifying bet of a tenner or more at odds of at least 2.0. You’ll then unlock four free £10 bets.

The sheer amount of football promotions on offer at BetMGM was one of the first things I noticed when I scrolled down the homepage.
UK bettors can unlock up to 200% in acca payout boosts. That's the biggest profit boost we've seen on football betting sites.
To qualify I needed to make an accumulator bet with three or more selections. The percentage of profit boosts is dependent on the number of legs included in the bet.
There are also weekly free bets for loyal bettors. You can unlock a free £5 wager if you have placed four accas during the week.
Furthermore, you’ll find odds boosts on big games and free £2 bet builders on certain matches.
You’ll also have a chance to win up to £1 million by predicting the scores of six football matches in the Golden Goals feature.

BetMGM Horse Racing Promotions
BetMGM is offering punters seven profit boosts of up to 10% every week. All you need to do is opt in. It’s worth noting the max stake for this offer is £20.
I noticed the weekly free bets were also valid on horse racing, so returning bettors will be rewarded for their loyalty.
Overall, BetMGM rank above average among horse racing betting sites, offering very competitive odds, live streams of UK and Irish races and a good selection of ante-post and specials.

Despite still being classed among new betting sites, BetMGM already has an extensive live betting section, with dozens of markets on several different sports.
I was really impressed with the offering, as I feel you can learn a lot about an online bookmaker from its in-play betting options.
I last visited the site on a Tuesday morning and counted 10 different sports, with some having up to eight live betting markets.
As I’d expect, football, basketball, tennis, table tennis and Esports received the focus from BetMGM, although unlike some betting sites with live streaming, many of those sports aren't available to watch via a stream on the BetMGM platform.
There’s also a really slick live centre that provides rolling updates on big sports events.
Bet Builder
Bet builder sites are big business now, so they often get plenty of attention.
I’m happy to report BetMGM has got the memo and has a really extensive bet builder section.
There’s also a Trending Bet Builders section on the homepage that displays the most popular bets of the day.
At BetMGM you can select up to 30 legs in your bet builder, but they all need to win for your punt to be successful.
Simply click on your chosen event and hit the Bet Builder tab. From there you’ll see all available markets, along with a really cool stat box to help guide you.
You can also combine bet builders from different football matches to dramatically increase potential payouts.
Bet builder markets are also available on basketball, NFL and NHL games.

BetMGM comes with a fully loaded app for UK bettors using both Android and Apple devices.
The app has a good reputation with bettors giving it a four-star rating in both online stores. Users were quick to comment on how easy it is to use compared to other betting apps.
