Planet Sport Bet is the sportsbook offering from media industry giant Planet Sport - the company behind brands like Football365, TEAMtalk and much more.

Planet Sport, which is owned by Barrie Jarret and has former footballer Robbie Savage as a partner, launched the online bookie in 2021.

It has grown in popularity ever since, quickly rising up the ranks of UK betting sites.

Once I landed on the homepage, I immediately noticed the prominence given to football, horse racing and greyhound racing. I also loved the ‘Tips’ tab which offered insights and stats on upcoming sports events.

The site’s deep blue background is easy on the eye, and the layout makes it easy to navigate, with exclusive offers and promotions flashing across the homepage’s main navigation.

I loved the wide-ranging choice in betting markets. While there are only 20 sports to bet on, the variety is great, and you can even find odds on upcoming political elections, reality TV contests and award shows.

We’ll touch on the betting markets again later, but for now, let’s take a deep dive into Planet Sport Bet and what it has to offer for UK sports bettors.

During my research for this review, I noticed the Planet Sport Bet welcome offer was quite difficult to find.

There is no flagship ‘sign up offer’ advertised anywhere, and when I checked the promo page, there was nothing listed.

However, after I created an account and deposited money, I found the Bet £10, Get £10 welcome bonus.

The offer could have been advertised a little better, and there are better promotions at other sites, but a 100% bonus is always welcome.

To unlock the offer, all you need to do is create an account at Planet Sports Bet with the promo code bet10get10. After that, deposit £10 or more and make a bet at odds of at least 2.0. Once the bet is settled, you'll receive your free bets.

It’s worth noting that you’re free bet stake will not be returned with any winnings if your bet is successful.

Finally, you are unlikely to come across many football betting sites running as many free bet offers as Planet Sport Bet. 

While conducting our review, we regularly saw bet £10, get a £5 free bet if a certain match scenario is met, such as one team scoring four goals in the game.

Planet Sport Bet Horse Racing Promotions

Horse racing betting sites. don't tend to hand out free bets in any kind of frequency that comes close to Planet Sport Bet, where punters can unlock up to £20 in free bets by backing horses in specially selected races. There’s a £5 free bet for opted-in customers who make £20 worth of bets on the race.

To unlock the full £20 bet, you’ll need to place £100 bets on the race. It’s worth noting that bets used to qualify for this offer will not count towards the Planet Sport Bet loyalty club.

Horse racing punters can also unlock the acca reward perk by successfully placing a winning multiple bet with five or more legs. If your acca has 12+ legs, you’ll receive a 50% boost on profits.

When the big meetings roll around, you can expect Planet Sport Bet to have plenty of Grand National, Royal Ascot and Cheltenham betting offers, on top of their usual racing promotions.

More Planet Sport Bet Sports Betting Offers

The Planet Sport offers don’t stop at horse racing and football. I've not seen any golf betting sites willing to give bettors a £5 free bet as a consolation prize if their golfer leads after any round of a tournament but fails to win (min stake £20).

Boxing bettors will receive a similar £5 free bet if their fighter knocks an opponent down but goes on to lose the fight.

And if your selected NFL game goes to overtime, you’re £20 stake will unlock a £5 free bet.

Overall, I was really impressed with the number of promotions Planet Sport run across such a wide range of sports.

In-Play Betting Options & Features

Planet Sports Bet ranks highly among in-play betting sites, with markets on over a dozen sports. I navigated the site and created my account on a Monday, one of the quieter betting days of the week.

However, I still found odds and markets on football, tennis, snooker, horse racing and much more.

In terms of the number of betting markets available, I don’t think the options are quite as diverse as some big name bookies, but there was more than enough to keep me entertained, and all the usual suspects are there.

At the time of writing, live streaming is only available on horse racing events, which leaves them trailing behind some betting sites with live streaming. However, it is worth noting that the stream is crystal clear, and it was very easy to track odds and make bets as the action unfolded.

For all other sports, there is a cool event center that shows statistics, team news, and has live updates as they happen. New betting sites tend to add more sports to their live streaming section as they grow and I'm hoping Planet Sport Bet follows that pattern.

Bet Builder

Punters can easily place bet builders, known as ‘Build-a-Bet’, at Planet Sport Bet by looking for the B+ logo beside upcoming events.

This will immediately open the build-a-bet dropdown menu which will show you popular bets placed by other punters. Below that, you’ll see markets for goals, players, corners, cards, penalties and much more.

You can then hit the ‘+’ button to tailor and create your own bet. You can add a maximum of 30 legs. It is worth remembering that each build-a-bet ticket counts as a single bet, so all legs need to win for the bet to be successful.

You can also combine build-a-bet selections across different games to boost your odds and potential payouts.

During my time on the site, I didn’t find build-a-bet options on any other sports which keeps Planet Sport Bet from ranking as one of the best bet builder sites.

Planet Sport Bet Mobile Betting Review

The mobile version of Planet Sport Bet works just as well as the desktop version. I found all the same markets as the desktop site and it was just as straightforward placing bets on a smaller screen as it is on the desktop site.

I also liked how the markets and sports available are streamlined to fit my phone. There wasn’t an overload of information that’s often seen on the desktop version of some bookies.

The same can also be said for the Planet Sport mobile betting app. It is available to Android and Apple users, but has a bit of catching up to do on other betting apps, according to some of the user reviews.

I didn't have any issues with the app personally. Once I had downloaded it to my device (iPhone 14), I found it to be fast, easily-readable and a joy to use overall.
