Hard on the heels of a Game Week that had a blank for the two Manchester clubs, Brighton and Chelsea comes GW33 which features a midweek programme of Premier League fixtures.

There are 10 games between Tuesday and Thursday with football betting sites ready for the kick-offs, so make sure you get your ducks in a row considering that the deadline is just around the corner today!

The clash between Man City and Arsenal is box office, although many managers will have bittersweet emotions from an FPL perspective considering many teams are loaded with Gunners assets and there is no harder fixture than away at the Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, Liverpool might not have things their own way against a resurgent West Ham side, with Man Utd looking to profit against a Tottenham Hotspur team who appear to be in “crisis mode” at the moment.

When Is The Game Week 33 Transfer Deadline?

The Game Week 33 transfer deadline is 6pm on Tuesday, April 25, shortly before the three Premier League encounters which take place that evening.

Keep An Eye Out For Game Week 34!

Before you go ahead and do anything drastic for GW33, bear in mind that Game Week 34 is going to be a high-scoring one on average.

No less than six clubs have two fixtures in GW34 and that includes Premier League top four chasers Brighton, Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd.

Therefore, if you have a free transfer right now, it might make sense to roll this over and have two FT’s to pack a punch for the weekend and beyond.

It will allow you more flexibility when making changes and managers might even fancy taking a -4 hit to make three transfers.

Which Teams Have The Best FPL Fixtures For GW33 And Beyond?

LIVERPOOL’s trip to the London Stadium in midweek doesn’t look as enticing due to West Ham’s improvement, however the Reds are currently full of goals and they follow this clash with a Double Game Week where they host Tottenham and Fulham at Anfield. Brentford then head to Merseyside before Jurgen Klopp’s team travel to Leicester.

Some would argue that MANCHESTER CITY are bombproof when it comes to their fixtures and their home clash against Arsenal is followed by a double GW against Fulham (a) and West Ham (h).

Leeds at home and then a trip to Goodison Park means that three assets from this team could be the way forward including a certain Norwegian striker!

As for BRIGHTON, they have a trip to Nottingham Forest before a double header at the AMEX Stadium against Wolves and Man United.

Then comes Everton at home before consecutive Double Game Weeks and the sheer volume of fixtures means that Seagulls assets should be ignored at your peril. They still have nine games left this season.

Who Are The Best GW33 Players To Buy?

Defenders

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD (£7.4m) is at the top of many manager’s shopping lists, with the Liverpool man having scored 19 points in the past three Game Weeks.

The fact that Brighton have nine games left this season means that PERVIS ESTUPINAN (£4.8m) and LEWIS DUNK (£4.7m) are worthy of consideration.

JOHN STONES (£5.5m) is also an attractive option for those who want to bulk up on their Manchester City quota.

Midfielders

Manchester United have a Double Game Week around the corner and managers are flocking to bring MARCUS RASHFORD (£7.1m) back into their teams.

The England forward played a full 120 minutes at Wembley on Sunday, with the Red Devils player having previously been prolific in the Premier League before sustaining an injury.

It’s easy to see why JACK GREALISH (£7.2m) is a warm order considering that the Manchester City man has hit his stride recently, but Riyad Mahrez’s FA Cup hat-trick against Sheffield United is a timely reminder that Pep Guardiola likes to rotate and particularly at this busy time of the season.

SOLLY MARCH (£5.2m) and KAORU MITOMA (£5.6m) are clearly popular due to Brighton’s large volume of remaining fixtures and the pair have been punching above their weight for the Seagulls all season.

Meanwhile, MOHAMED SALAH (£12.9m) is now clocking up the sort of points totals that we’ve grown accustomed to over the past few seasons.

Forwards

For those that have been going without ERLING HAALAND (£12.1m) for the past few weeks, the temptation must now be too great when it comes to restoring the Norwegian to their teams.

After all, the Manchester City goal machine could be deadly against Arsenal before his team’s double header in Game Week 34 and it’s a dangerous ploy to be without the division’s runaway top scorer.

DIOGO JOTA (£8.8m) has been spanking in the goals for Liverpool and there have been a sum total of 29 points scored in the past two Game Weeks – wow.

The Portuguese looks a nailed-on starter for the Reds right now, while ALEXANDER ISAK (£6.8m) was back on the goal trail against Tottenham although the Swede rarely gets a full 90 minutes.

Who Are The Best GW33 Players To Sell?

Defenders

It was good while it lasted for managers with BEN MEE in the team however the Brentford defender is on his way out of many teams, while the same applies to Arsenal defensive assets such as GABRIEL and BEN WHITE

The Gunners are not keeping clean sheets and a trip to the Etihad Stadium is unlikely to be fruitful for a defence that have conceded seven times in their previous three encounters.

Midfielders

FPL managers aren’t just deserting Arsenal defenders but also shedding their team of midfielders from the same team.

BUKAYO SAKA scored 13 points against Southampton on Friday, but some are removing the England player to make room for a Liverpool or Manchester City replacement, while the same applies to a lesser degree with MARTIN ODEGAARD and GABRIEL MARTINELLI.

JAMES MADDISON has largely been an infuriating player to own in FPL this season and he’s being sold in droves although there could be some merit in keeping him if he’s in your squad.

Perhaps CODY GAKPO isn’t the best Liverpool “midfielder” to own if you have Mohamed Salah though.

Forwards

HARRY KANE continues to deliver even if Tottenham are fairly abject and there are probably better players to sell this season.

However, with the next Tottenham manager still in doubt, he’s the most sold striker in the game ahead of Spurs’ Thursday clash against Manchester United.

IVAN TONEY and GABRIEL JESUS are also exiting a number of teams, although the Brentford striker has avoided a two-game ban after swerving a tenth yellow card for several weeks.

Who Should Be Captain For Game Week 33?

For many, the obvious choice is Erling Haaland. He’s the closest thing in FPL to guaranteed points and the Manchester City forward has racked up consecutive 12-point totals.

He only needed 45 minutes against Leicester to score twice and there are sure to be chances that come his way based on Arsenal’s recent performances.

If you’re looking for a differential, then Mohamed Salah is clearly in his element right now and has previously scored a hat-trick at the London Stadium, while Diogo Jota is another Liverpool asset performing to a high level.

There is also Alexander Isak at Newcastle who heads to Goodison Park in the mood for more goals, although Haaland is the percentage play here.
