Federico Chiesa Next Club Odds: Tottenham Favourites To Land Italian

The summer transfer market is in full swing and the best betting sites anticipate plenty of deals being concluded across Europe in the next few weeks.

One man who could be on the move is Federico Chiesa, whose time at Juventus could be coming to an end.

Many feel the Italy international needs a fresh start after a disappointing 2023/24 at the Allianz Stadium.

Chiesa was one of the stars of Italy’s Euro 2020-winning campaign three years ago, but he has struggled to kick on since then, in large part because of a serious knee injury he suffered in 2022.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus runs until 2025. An extension does not appear to be in the offing right now, so the Italian giants may look to cash in on the forward this summer to avoid missing out on a transfer fee when he becomes a free agent next summer.

Who might sign Chiesa if he does indeed seek pastures new ahead of the new campaign? Let’s see what the betting apps make of his situation.

Tottenham Favourites To Sign Chiesa

Tottenham Hotspur are the 6/4 favourites to sign Chiesa.

It is no secret that Ange Postecoglou wants to add another wide man to his ranks this summer, with the lack of one-versus-one specialists a key shortcoming for Spurs last time out.

If they want to qualify for the Champions League next term, Tottenham need to strengthen in the final third.

Reports this week suggest the north Londoners have made contact with Juventus over a possible deal for Chiesa, who could be available for as little as £20m.

The Italian would be a great signing for Spurs, especially with how Postecoglou wants his side to play.

Chiesa Could Shine For Newcastle

Newcastle, like many sides in the Premier League, are looking to strengthen their squad this summer in the hope of landing a top-four finish.

The Magpies finished seventh last term and missed out on a place in Europe, and they have to make the most of not having the distraction of European football.

If Chiesa was available for £20m, that would appeal to Newcastle United, who must ensure they are compliant with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules after a few windows of heavy spending.

The Magpies are the second-favourites to sign Chiesa at 7/4.

Aston Villa And Manchester United In The Mix

Aston Villa are showing their ambition once again this summer, as Unai Emery’s side attempt to get their business done early ahead of Villa's first ever Champions League campaign next season.

Chiesa has been linked with a switch to Villa Park, with football betting sites offering odds of 2/1 on the Italian ending up there.

Villa are said to have held talks with Chiesa’s agent, which may give them a slight edge on Manchester United (3/1).

The Red Devils could be in the market for further attacking reinforcements following their acquisition of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

Much will depend on Jadon Sancho’s future. The England international fell out with Erik ten Hag last term, but if the pair were to make up it would lessen the need for another option out wide.

Chiesa For Chelsea? Maybe

Chelsea have not been shy to splash the cash in the Todd Boehly era so far, although on-field results have not been particularly impressive up to now.

New manager Enzo Maresca will hope that changes next season and he will be keen to strengthen several areas of his squad in preparation.

Maresca’s compatriot Chiesa is priced at 7/2 to end up at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea must be more productive in forward areas next season and the Italy international would help in that regard.

Hammers Style Would Benefit Chiesa

West Ham would have no trouble affording the reported fee of £20m for Chiesa, but they may struggle to outbid some of the clubs mentioned here when it comes to wages.

However, the Hammers, priced at 9/2 on new betting sites, are not able to offer European football. Julen Lopetegui will hope to change that in his first season in charge at the London Stadium.

If West Ham are to entice Chiesa to the capital, it would be seen as a major coup.

Liverpool And Serie A Sides Among The Outsiders

Liverpool look reasonably well stocked in attack for now, with Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota all set to battle it out for game time next season.

The Reds are seen as outsiders in this particular race, but some may feel odds of 8/1 are worth a punt.

Despite the fact the betting markets suggest Chiesa is on his way to England, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he stays in Serie A.

Juventus, you feel, would rather sell him overseas, but many Italians prefer to play at home where possible. Roma are available at 6/1, with Inter a long shot at 12/1.
