Glastonbury 2025 Odds: Double Rod? Stewart Confirmed As Rodrigo Price Shortens
Sir Rod Stewart is the first performer confirmed for next year's Glastonbury Festival.
The Maggie May hitmaker will blast out a selection of his greatest hits when he takes to the iconic Pyramid Stage for the Sunday afternoon legend slot at Worthy Farm.
Rod - who headlined the festival 13 years ago - spoke about next year's gig this week and revealed it will cost him a six-figure sum to play at the Somerset spectacle.
He said on talkSPORT: "It’s going to cost me a fortune to do it - $300,0000.
"I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course, Glastonbury don’t pay for that."
However, Rod admitted it will be "the greatest honour" and said he would pay $1 million to perform on the Pyramid Stage again.
While we now know who is performing in the Sunday legends slot - there is still plenty of speculation on betting sites about who might headline the Pyramid Stage over the June 2025 weekend.
Double Rod?
It could be a case of double Rod at next year's Glastonbury.
Following Rod Stewart's confirmation, Olivia Rodrigo has emerged as the 2/9 favourite to close one of the nights of the festival.
The American singer-songwriter is narrowly ahead of The 1975, who are 1/4 in the market.

However, unless there is going to be some changes to her schedule, we know Rodrigo won't headline the Friday night of next year's Glastonbury, after she was confirmed to play on that date, June 27, at BST Hyde Park 2025.
The star also has rescheduled Manchester tour dates booked in for the Monday and Tuesday after the festival, meaning it could be a tight squeeze to fit in a Glasto headline slot next year.
However, festival organisers are said to be up for booking more female headliners, after there has only been eight in the spectacle's 54-year run.
Pyramid Stage Please Please Please
This could pave the way for Sabrina Carpenter to front the Pyramid Stage in 2025.
The Please Please Please hitmaker is 7/4, just below the likes of Fred Again (5/6) and Sam Fender (5/4) in the market.
The Espresso singer has had an incredible year, including scooping numerous awards.
Carpenter's Espresso won Song of the Year and Best Song at the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards respectively and she also has six nominations for next year's Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Record of the Year.

Carpenter could already be in for a fantastic 2025 and a Glasto headline slot might be the icing on the cake.
Glastonbury also looks set to be extra special next year, after festival organiser Emily Eavis recently confirmed the Worthy Farm event will take a year off in 2026 to "give the land a rest".
Rihanna's Return
If Eavis wants to ensure Glastonbury fans make enough incredible memories to last two years until the 2027 festival, then a stellar lineup is required.
Inviting back some old faces could be one way of guaranteeing everyone goes home happy.
Ed Sheeran is 5/1 on betting apps to headline the festival, but Rihanna is just 5/2 for top Pyramid Stage billing.
The pop megastar was recently linked to the festival, after it was rumoured her ninth studio album could be on the way soon.
A music insider told The Sun newspaper: "Historically, she releases her albums in the last few months of the year, but the slow pace of vinyl production means the release date will likely be later than she would have liked.
"Either way, 2025 is set to be her year with a giant tour in the works with Live Nation and yes, Glastonbury is back on the table."
However, Rod's confirmation for the Sunday teatime legends slot came without much speculation.
Harry Styles would be a dream booking for many and it looks a distinct possibility at 5/2. What's more, if Eavis gets her way we could see 4/1 chance Eminem headline the Pyramid Stage next year.
A source previously told The Sun newspaper: "It’s been a long time coming but finally, after years of trying, Emily could be about to get her wish.
"It’s by no means a done deal but with a successful comeback in motion a huge headline slot next year makes sense."
Others in contention include Avril Lavigne (5/1), who wowed at the spectacle earlier this year and Bruce Springsteen (6/1).
But Oasis, who are to embark on a monumental comeback tour next year, are 50/1 outsiders after insisting they will not be playing at Glastonbury 2025. Their loss.
