NFL London 2024: Patriots And Jaguars Meet At Wembley Stadium

This season's third and final NFL London game takes place at Wembley between two sides who have struggled for form and consistency in the opening six weeks.

The Patriots (1-5) haven't won since beating the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 in their season opener, while the Jaguars (1-5) need a win to ease the pressure on Doug Pederson, who could become the fourth head coach fired immediately after losing in London.

The best betting sites have the Jaguars as favourites, due to their familiarity of playing in the capital.

Since the Patriots last played in England in 2012, Jacksonville have played 12 times, winning six and losing six. The Panel have identified four bets from Sunday's contest.

Patriots @ Jaguars Prediction: Maye To Be Picked Off

Sunday will be Drake Maye's second game as the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots.

A trip across the Atlantic will be a very tough assignment for the rookie signal caller, who threw three touchdown passes and two interceptions in a 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans last week.

Wembley will be loud as the DUUUVAL faithful flock to the capital to spur their side on to a much-needed win.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was the first rookie quarterback to win in London in 2021. Caleb Williams became the second to do so - at the expense of Lawrence's team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend. Can Maye be the third rookie quarterback to win in England?

The Jaguars defense registered their first interception of the season in last week's loss to the Bears at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and this is a great opportunity to grab their second.

New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars Predictions:

Patriots @ Jaguars Odds: Pass Rushers To Get To Maye

The Patriots' offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL this season. Even before rookie Maye lined up under center, New England gave up 19 sacks in five games with Jacoby Brissett leading the offense.

Maye was sacked four times last week by the Texans and in a different country, it might take him a while to get used to the environment.

The Jaguars have 14 sacks on the season including three in their loss to the Bears across London. Josh Allen's three sacks in their win over the Falcons at Wembley last year is the most in an NFL London game.

If Jacksonville are to take the heat off their head coach, then Allen and co will have to come up big in their pursuit of Maye.

The Panel Pick 2: Jaguars To Register Over 3.5 Sacks - 20/23 With Bet365

Patriots @ Jaguars Betting: End Zone Visits At A Premium

Finding the end zone on a regular basis is one reason why these two teams are in pole position to have the first overall pick in the draft next week by finishing the season with the worst record.

Whichever team flies back to the States with the loss, thoughts may turn to tanking in order to land the best player coming out of the college programme.

Only the Miami Dolphins (5) have scored fewer touchdowns than the eight the Patriots have scored, while the Jaguars have found the end zone 12 times in their six games.

This may be a low-scoring game and The Panel are not expecting to see too many touchdown celebrations.

The Panel Pick 3: Patriots & Jaguars Under 4.5 Touchdowns - 20/23 With Bet365

Patriots @ Jaguars Preview: Busy Day For The Kickers

If the Patriots and Jaguars struggle to find the end zone, then we could see a lot of the kickers.

Jaguars' rookie kicker Cam Little is off to a solid start with a 43-yarder in the loss to Cleveland his only blemish from 22 kicks for a 95.5% success rate. Patriots' veteran kicker Joey Slye is kicking 89.5% of his kicks.

In a game where drives are expected to stall regularly, Little and Slye might be called upon often to finish drives that have stalled in opposition territory.

The Panel Pick 4: Patriots & Jaguars To Combine For Under 4.5 Touchdowns - 20/23 With Bet365
