Cheltenham Tips: Our Best Big Odds Bets For Friday At The Festival
The final day of the Cheltenham Festival is always something special, with punters having a last chance to back some winners on betting sites at this prestigious meeting.
We know that backing favourites isn’t for everyone, especially when the market leaders are trading at short odds.
Thursday saw 50/1, 28/1, 25/1 and 16/1 shots all get into the places – with 25/1 shot Monmiral winning the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle - so we’ve decided to see if we can dig out some more big odds chances for you on Friday.
Therefore, we’ve offered some longshots which can be considered from an each-way point of view.
County Handicap Hurdle @ Cheltenham 2.10 - Mr Freedom @ 40/1
Mr Freedom runs in the County Handicap Hurdle (2.10) and the five-year-old is certainly capable of hitting the frame at a big price on horse racing betting sites.
Sheena West trains a runner who was actually in the winners’ enclosure last time out, with the horse winning in a small field at Plumpton in early March.
Previously to this, Mr Freedom was second at Taunton and the horse could be favourably weighted for the second race of the day.
Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle @ Cheltenham 2.50 – The Jukebox Man @ 22/1
This could include The Jukebox Man who has already landed two wins this season.
Ben Pauling saddles a six-year-old who was triumphant at Ffos Las in November, before returning to the Welsh track a month later and obliging over two miles and four furlongs on heavy ground.
It should be noted that the most recent encounter saw the horse finish third out of nine horses at Newbury, and there was less than two lengths separating the eventual winner Captain Teague who is trading at a much shorter price for this encounter on betting apps.
St. James's Place Festival Challenge Cup @ Cheltenham 4.10 – Time Leader @ 33/1
Last but not least, we are rolling the dice when it comes to Time Leader in the St. James's Place Festival Challenge Cup (4.10).
The horse is available at a massive each-way price in the Cheltenham odds and Miss Hannah Roach’s charge might be capable of hitting the jackpot.
The 10-year-old was victorious at Hereford at the end of January, with this being a seven-length success and it’s also worth noting that the horse finished a credible fifth in the Foxhunters’ Chase at Aintree last April, when hitting the frame at a huge 80/1.
