bet365 Sports Review

Author

Bet365 Sports is at the top of the table for sports betting around the world. They’ve been an online sports betting bookie for over 20 years and turnover billions of dollars every year. They have over 45 million users from around the world and have more than 4,000 employees.

Countless awards and millions of satisfied customers add to the story, but are they truly worthy of all the hype?

Let’s dive into a Bet365 Sports review and check it out from a Kiwi punter’s perspective.

Advantages
  • Almost unmatched pricing
  • Excellent 24/7 support for Kiwis
  • In-play/live betting is amazing
Disadvantages
  • No VIP or loyalty programme

Bet365 is a dominant force in the world of sports betting, and when you look at their welcome bonus, you can see why. They’ll match you up to 100% up to $100 for your first deposit — that means you could get a $100 free bet on your first deposit. That’s pretty nuts, and an excellent offer.

The way it works is pretty simple, make your first deposit of at least $10, and they’ll match your deposit 100%. So if you deposit $10, you’ll get a $10 free bet. Deposit $50, get a $50 free bet, Deposit $100, get a $100 free bet — you get the idea.

Not coming down in the last shower, you’ve probably guessed there are few words in the small print, but it’s all pretty understandable. We went through the terms and conditions, and here are the main bits:

● Available to new Kiwi players only.

● The minimum deposit to qualify for the free bet is $10.

● You must claim the free bet within 30 days of making your first deposit.

● The maximum Bet365 will match you is $100.

● Your free bet credits will be held in your account balance and you can’t cash them out.

● Deposits by Paysafecard will not qualify for the free bet credits.

● Your first bet must have odds of $1.20 or greater to qualify for the free bet credits.

● If you don’t use your free bet credits, they’ll be removed after 90 days.

Don’t be alarmed if you don’t see your free bet credits straight away — you’ll need to have your first bet (at odds of $1.20 or more) be settled, and then the credits will turn up in your account.

Also, just be aware you’ll only get that specific deal if you click our BET NOW link at the top of the page.

Promotions Available from Bet365 Sports

Just another reason Bet365 is one of the best of the business — when it comes to offering Kiwi punters promos, they are cracking sixes all over the show. Normally this is where we would list out all of the promos that a sports betting site offers, but in the case of Bet365, we’d be here all day.

But let’s have a go though and give you a small sample of what’s on offer for promos at Bet365. Keep in mind there are multiple promos for each sport!

Aussie Footy Multi Bet Bonus allows you to earn up to 65% more on Aussie Rules and rugby accumulator bets, including Super Rugby AU, Super Rugby Aotearoa, AFL, and NRL.

The Super Rugby Early Payout Offer means a bet on Super Rugby is paid out if your team goes 17 points ahead of the opposition. For multi bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

The Football 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer gets your single bets paid out if your team goes two goals ahead. For multi bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Bet365 also offers best odds guaranteed on every horse race and greyhound race.

An NBA Early Payout Offer gets single NBA basketball bets paid out if your team goes 20 points ahead of the opposition. Again, for multi bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Bet365's Tennis Accumulator Bonus allows you to earn up to 70% more on your tennis accumulator bets.

This is spectacular stuff from Bet365 here — normally we’d only be mentioning one or two promotions in this section, but in our Bet365 review, we found almost 40 promos on offer.

Bet365 Sports Betting Features

Having been around for over 20 years, Bet365 has built a truly astonishing library of betting features that put some of the newer sports betting sites in the sin bin. Honestly, there is too much to cover here, but we’ll do our best to stick to what is relevant for Kiwis looking to add some spice to their sports betting.

While some other sites might offer in-depth stats and live odds on just the big games, we were impressed with how many of the smaller leagues and games got the same treatment on Bet365 sports.

The in-play betting section is phenomenal — on pretty much any football, tennis, baseball, basketball, or cricket game we clicked on, we had a range of stats and developing live odds at our disposable, as well as an onscreen graphic to show what was going on. The onscreen graphic shows ball movement, who has the ball, and any other relevant action.

Then there are plenty of cricket and football games with honest-to-goodness live streams of the games. To find these within the in-play section, just look for a game in progress that has a little play button next to it. Click on that play button and you’ll get live game footage of that game happening in real-time. Not many sports betting sites can offer that, but that just shows the power and pull Bet365 has.

Horse racing is a treat for Kiwis too — more often than not, most sports betting sites don’t cover the horse racing for Aussie or NZ, but Bet365 really shoots out of the gates. We’d say Bet365 has about as many NZ races as the TAB does, which is impressive for an international sports betting site. Oh, and did we mention many of the horse races have live television streams? There isn’t a live stream for every race, but still, excellent stuff here again from Bet365.

Your betslip is clear and upfront at the right of your screen, and from there you’ll be able to see if you can cash out from your bet — it’s pretty hard to miss. You can also choose from Live Now, Unsettled, Settled, or All Bets.

Below your betslip there are some offers and promos from Bet365 Sports if they tickle your fancy, and below that are links to live streaming for football and cricket. All in all, it’s a very straightforward betslip, and we liked how clear and concise all our options were laid out.

In-Play Betting at Bet365 Sports

In-play betting at Bet365 Sports was truly impressive, and there are heaps of options to have a go at. The in-play section is front and centre at the top of the screen. Click on that section, and you’ll see every game that is happening right now. Click on the game of your choice and you’ll get all of the stats and live betting odds you can handle.

Live Streaming at Bet365 Sports

A lot of sports betting sites don’t have any rights to live streaming games, mostly because they just don’t have the pulling power. Bet 365 is different — because they are such a dominant force in sports betting, they have access to a surprising range of sports live streaming options.

There are live streams of real-time coverage for soccer, cricket, and horse racing. To find a live stream, just go to the in-play section, and look for a game or race that has a little play button next to it. Click on the play button and you’ll get your live stream, along with betting odds and stats.

Registration Process at Bet365 Sports

Hey, we get it, these big international sites are a long way from home at the TAB here in NZ, so you might have some concerns about the type of info they are asking for when you sign up.

Just like any sports betting site we review, this Bet365 Sports review will include how we found the registration process, by actually doing it.

So when you want to sign up, it’ll look like this:

● Click on Bet Now, which is on our offer at the top of the screen.

● You’ll be sent to the Bet365 Sports registration page — click on Bet Now.

● A new page will come up, click on the Join Now.

● Enter your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and if and how you want to receive promotional material.

● Create a username and password.

● Enter a four-digit security number.

● Enter your timezone (NZ is GMT+12) and odds display preference.

● There is a place for a bonus code, but you won’t need it — we automatically gave you one when you clicked on our link.

● Agree to the terms and conditions and click on Join Bet365.

● Enter your credit card details.

● Make a deposit and click Claim $XX in Bet Credits.

● You are good to go!

We’ll be honest, even though it only takes a few minutes, Bet365 Sport’s registration process took a bit longer than most competitors. But we don’t really see this as a bad thing — there was important security stuff to take care of, and it also allowed you to customise your sports betting experience from the get-go.

As with any reputable sports betting bookie site, you’ll need to provide photo ID when you go to cash out. This is for your security, so make sure the name you enter in your registrations matches what’s on your photo ID. This is all completely normal and standard practice for any sports betting site that cares about your privacy. Given that Bet365 is a leader in the sports betting industry, we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Depositing and Withdrawing at Bet365 Sports

The minimum deposit of $10 at Bet365 Sports is in line with most of the sports betting industry, and great for those of us who just want to dip our toes in the water.

In regards to that $200 minimum on the wire transfer — no, that’s not a typo. That’s too much money, and it takes the longest to deposit and withdraw. We’d suggest you just stick to the faster methods of payment.

As part of their focus on security, Bet365 Sports has a “Know Your Customer” policy for your security. Before you cash out your winnings, Bet365 sports will ask you to verify your identity with photo ID and a few other bits and pieces. It may take a while, but it’s standard practice for any reputable sports betting site. Bet365 Sport is extremely thorough in this area, and we think this is a good thing.

Bet365 Sports Desktop Experience

Sometimes you can land on a sports betting site and wonder how many minutes it took them to design the layout. Thankfully Bet365 Sports show once again why they are leaders in the game with a super clear and easy to navigate site.

At the very top of the page are all of the different betting markets they have which include sports, casino, poker and more.

Below that you can choose to look at all of the sports on offer, games and races that are in-play, as well as your bets.

Everything is straightforward, professional, and easy to use.

Their mobile website is also very nice to use — it’s changed around a little bit from the desktop website, but only to accommodate everything on the smaller screen. Pages load fast, have all the info you need, and even includes live graphics or streaming at the top of the screen if the chosen game or race supports it.

Bet365 Mobile App

While there is a dedicated Bet365 app for Android and iOS, it’s not available in New Zealand, or at least as far as we could see.

It’s not major loss though — their mobile website does the trick, and doesn’t offer anything less than a dedicated app would.

If you see an app on your app store after searching for Bet365, it’ll almost certainly not be official, so we’d keep away from it.

Betting Odds at Bet365 Sports

When you’ve been nominated for awards for odds pricing, you know you are doing well. Bet365 sports are at the top of the pack for betting odds — they have been around so long and are so big, it’s only natural they have their finger on the pulse for competitive odds.

We’re pretty confident when we say Bet365 Sports has some of the best odds in the business.

In terms of enhanced odds or boosted odds, have a look at out section above on Bet365’s promotions — there are a ton of them.

Bet365 Sports Customer Support

Bet365 are based in Europe, which is if course where their call centre also is — so it’s a good thing that they have 24/7 support for us in New Zealand.

Click on Help at the top right of the screen to send an instant message, email, web message, or just browse through their FAQs.

We sent an instant message to them and they got back to us within a minute, and were able to answer our questions.

Top marks for customer support at Bet365.

VIP/Loyalty Programmes at Bet365 Sports

Well, you had to go down the Bet365 sports review page a fair bit, but you found one bad thing about Bet365 sports. They don’t offer any sort of loyalty or VIP programme for Kiwi sports betters, or any betters for that matter.

It seems pretty clear that Bet365 Sports just focuses on the fundamentals of great features, top promotions, and super-competitive betting odds.

Bet365 Sports Responsible Gambling Features

Sports betting is about fun, and it should stay that way. If you’re starting to think that your sporting betting is getting out of hand, Bet365 Sports has a range of tools to help you get things back under control.

Being a giant of the sports betting game, Bet365 Sports has a range of responsible gambling tools like deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and complete self-exclusion.

We recommend you use these tools if you need them, as it’s not worth the stress of enduring a gambling problem in any sense.

Our Verdict for Bet365 Sports

Bet365 Sports are about as close as you can get to a World Cup-winning All Blacks squad — professional, polished, and with an elite skill-set.

If you’re looking for a true alternative to the TAB, we reckon Bet365 Sports is the way to go. There is just so much on offer, and they add features almost every week.

45 million sports betters go to Bet365 Sports for a reason, and we see no issue with recommending you try them out. And with up to a $100 free bet, you can’t really go wrong.
