NFL Week 17 Monday Night Football Predictions:

Lions Vs 49ers Pick: Detroit To Cover On The Road

Detroit bounced back from their loss to the Bills with a 34-17 win in Chicago last weekend, while the 49ers lost 29-17 to the Dolphins in Miami.

San Francisco's offense and defense have both dropped off alarmingly over the past month and they have been eliminated from the play-offs after losing five of their last six games.

Detroit have won 13 games so far this season and two more wins will see them wrap up the NFC North and secure the number one seed in the conference.

The Lions execute well in the red zone, and they average 32.9 points per game, while defensively, they give up just 19.9 points per game.

Dan Campbell's team should cover even on the road and The Panel is backing Detroit to win by four points or more on Monday night.

The Panel Pick 1: Lions -3.5 To Beat The 49ers - 10/11 With Betway

Lions Vs 49ers Prediction: Give Gibbs The Ball

Without David Montgomery to help with the running game, Jahmyr Gibbs has taken the added responsibility with the minimum of fuss.

The Lions running back has only had three 100-yard games in 2024, but that was with Montgomery sharing the workload.

Last week against Chicago, Gibbs totalled 154 total yards (109 rushing and 45 receiving). and he could put up even bigger numbers in San Francisco.

The best betting apps are offering odds of 9/4 to have a similar game to last week

The Panel's second pick for Monday night is for Gibbs to get to have 100+ rushing yards and 35+ receiving yards.

The Panel Pick 2: Jahmyr Gibbs 100+ Rushing Yards & 35+ Receiving Yards - 9/4 With Betway

Lions Vs 49ers Preview: Amon-Ra To Shine Brightly

Detroit wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has 101 receptions, 1,126 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns this season, and he's not finished yet.

The Lions have one of the most balanced offenses in the NFL, with 47.8% rushing plays and 52.2% passing plays.

They also have the top-ranked offense inside the red zone with 44 touchdowns from 65 visits. That means St. Brown should get more opportunities against the 49ers.

The Panel's third and final pick is for St. Brown to be an anytime touchdown scorer on NFL betting sites.

The Panel Pick 3: Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer - 5/13 With Betway
