In four seasons with Celtic, McClair made 471 appearances in all competitions and scored 127 goals at for the Parkhead club.

In that time, he won the Scottish Premier League and Scottish FA Cup while finishing as top-scorer for the Hoops on four occasions.

His prolific goalscoring record quickly attracted the attention of clubs south of the border and in 1987, McClair became Alex Ferguson's first signing at Manchester United.

As a key part of one of English football’s greatest sides, he lifted four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the European Cup Winners' Cup in his 11 years at Old Trafford.
