FA Cup Special - Brian McClair Answers Your Questions Ahead Of Round Three

Brian McClair has joined us throughout the 2024/25 season to preview all the weekend action in the Premier League.

But as we reach the FA Cup third round, he's turned his attention to the oldest cup competition in the world and arguably the most eye-catching fixture of the weekend.

As a key part of one of English football’s greatest sides, Brian McClair won 12 major trophies with Manchester United, including the FA Cup on two occasions.

He also had the honour of scoring in a 4-0 humbling of Chelsea in the 1994 final, as the Red Devils clinched their first league and cup double.

His old side head to Arsenal as they look to defend the trophy they won at Wembley last May while Mikel Arteta's side will be looking to lift the famous old trophy for the first time since 2020.

But that’s not all.

Brian also answered your questions on a range of subjects including his FA Cup memories and the players of today that impress him most.

From whether United’s 1990 FA Cup win saved Alex Ferguson’s United career, to who would replace Gary Neville in his greatest ever Manchester United side, he pulled no punches.

Watch Brian McClair's Premier League Predictions

Every week throughout the season, Manchester United and Celtic legend Brian McClair shares his predictions for every Premier League match.

During his four seasons at Celtic, McClair made 471 appearances across all competitions, scoring an impressive 127 goals.

He helped secure the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish FA Cup while finishing as the Hoops' top scorer in four consecutive seasons.

His remarkable goal-scoring prowess soon drew attention from clubs in England, and in 1987, McClair became Alex Ferguson's first signing at Manchester United.

Over 11 years at Old Trafford, he won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the European Cup Winners' Cup.

He'll be back next week to preview all of the midweek Premier League games kicking-off on Tuesday night with the big clash between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.
