Complete League One Final Day Guide

The League One season draws to a close on Saturday with so much still to play for.

Portsmouth, who started the season as one of the favourites to win League Two on football betting sites, have already been crowned champions.

Carlisle, Port Vale and Fleetwood already know they will be playing League Two football next season.

But what else is there to play for on the final day of the League One season?

Who Will Join Portsmouth In The Championship?

John Mousinho is in the envious position of going into the final game of the season knowing his Portsmouth side are already League One champions.

A trip to Lincoln is a chance for Pompey fans to mark the end of a glorious season with a party on the road. But who will join Portsmouth in the second tier next season?

Derby and Bolton are fighting it out to finish as runners-up and take the second automatic promotion spot, with County the overwhelming favourites on UK betting sites to do just that.

Barnsley sacked manager Neill Collins earlier this week in the hope that interim boss Martin Devaney can improve results.

The Tykes, who have taken just one point from their last five matches, will battle it out with Lincoln, Oxford and Blackpool for the final two play-off places.

Here's what each team needs:

Derby - currently second and will finish second if they can avoid defeat at home to already relegated Carlisle.

Bolton - will finish second if they win at Peterborough and Derby lose because of their better goal difference. A draw will secure third place for the Trotters.

Peterborough - cannot finish lower than fourth and can climb to third if they beat Bolton at home.

Barnsley - need to beat Northampton at home to finish fifth. A draw or defeat might be enough to secure a playoff place, but depends on results involving Lincoln, Oxford and Blackpool.

Lincoln - need to beat Portsmouth at home and they need Barnsley to lose or draw to finish fifth. They may have enough points to finish sixth, but Oxford and Blackpool can climb above them in the table.

Oxford - A draw at Exeter would be enough to secure a playoff place if Lincoln lose. Oxford could finish fifth if they win and Barnsley and Lincoln both lose.

Blackpool - Need the most help to make the playoffs. A draw at Reading would be enough if both Lincoln and Oxford lose. They could finish fifth if they win and Barnsley lose and Lincoln and Oxford fail to win.

Whose Time In League One Will Come To An End?

While some clubs are trying to escape League One for a higher division, others are doing all they can to stay in it.

Carlisle were the first League One side relegated and they were soon followed out the exit door by Port Vale and Fleetwood. For those sides, Saturday is a chance to sign off a disappointing season with a win.

But who will be the fourth side to lose their League One status? Betting apps have Cheltenham as the odds-on favourites to be relegated.

Town go into the final round of fixtures needing help from Burton and Cambridge if they are to be playing League One football next season.

So who needs what to stay in League One?

Cambridge - currently 19th in the table and they know they need a point at already relegated Port Vale to avoid relegation. If they lose and Cheltenham fail to win, Cambridge will be safe.

Burton - a win at Fleetwood will keep them up. A draw would be enough if Cheltenham lose.

Cheltenham - need to win at Stevenage. They will be relegated with a draw or a defeat. If Cheltenham win and Burton draw, it comes down to goal difference to who goes down.
