Tom Cruise Odds: Which Premier League Opening Fixture Will Star Attend?
Tom Cruise seems to have been on a mission to attend as many sporting events as possible in Europe this summer.
The Mission: Impossible star has appeared at the Wimbledon men's tennis final - where he sat alongside fellow actors Julia Roberts and Benedict Cumberbatch - music festival Glastonbury, where he watched Coldplay's headline set alongside Gillian Anderson and Simon Pegg, and he even popped up at the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris last month.
If that wasn't enough, recent reports have suggested Cruise is planning to perform a huge stunt at the Paris 2024 closing ceremony on August 11th.
According to TMZ, the Top Gun actor is to abseil down the Stade de France stadium, where he will land on the field and then carry the official Olympic flag.
A short film is to show Cruise flying with the flag from Paris to LA, and upon arrival he is expected to skydive down onto the famous Hollywood sign.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but it is said to be part of a flag-passing ceremony, as the flag goes from Paris 2024 to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
Should Cruise decide to stick around in Europe, then it would be no surprise if he rocked up at another huge sporting event the following weekend.
One possibility could see the star attend a Premier League match on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 season, and betting sites have been busy pricing up which stadium he might appear in.

Mission: Attend Premier League Opening Day Game
Arguably, the biggest game of the opening weekend will see Chelsea take on reigning champions Manchester City at their Stamford Bridge stadium in London.
Should Cruise stay in the UK that weekend, he is likely to do so in the capital city, and he is just 8/11 on specials betting sites to rock up at the Blues' home.
If he does make the trip to Stamford Bridge, Cruise could even renew acquaintances with world-famous chef and Chelsea fan Gordon Ramsay, who he caught up with at the 2022 Silverstone grand prix.
The pair also partied at Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday bash earlier this year.
Another Premier League side with no shortage of famous fans is Manchester United, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Cruise - who is said to be a supporter of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid - rocked up at Old Trafford for some Friday night fun on August 16.
He is Evens to watch the Red Devils take on Fulham in the Premier League's 2024/25 curtain raiser.
Cruise To Ed Down To Ipswich
Ipswich Town were gearing up for their first League One away day of the season at Forest Green Rovers a couple of years ago.
But after two successive promotions, the Tractor Boys find themselves in the dizzy heights of the Premier League, and they will entertain Liverpool on the opening weekend.
Cruise is just 2/1 on betting apps to head down to Portman Road for Ipswich's first match of the season, where he could rub shoulders with another huge star.
Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is a huge fan of the club, and he has been the principal shirt sponsor of the Ipswich men's first team since 2021.
However, if Cruise doesn't have a rendezvous with Sheeran planned then he could rock up at the Emirates Stadium (3/1) to see Arsenal play Wolves.
While he would likely be in the home end, or some sort of hospitality section, it wouldn't be a complete shock if he was spotted among the Wolves die-hards cheering on former Atletico players Matheus Cunha and Matt Doherty.
If Cruise wanted to channel his inner Mission: Impossible character Ethan Hunt, he could even try to make two Premier League games in one day.
He may need to borrow a motorbike or helicopter from the film franchise to make it possible, but if so he could watch Arsenal vs Wolves at 3pm on August 17, and then make the 5.7-mile journey across the capital to the London Stadium, where West Ham United play Aston Villa at 5.30pm.
Cruise To Rock(y) Up At Goodison
While Cruise could meet the likes of Ramsay and Sheeran at Chelsea or Ipswich, another huge celebrity could bring him to Everton's Goodison Park.
Rocky and Rambo star Sylvester Stallone became a fan of the Toffees following a visit to their Merseyside home in January 2007, where he took in a game alongside his friend and club director Robert Earl.
Stallone fell in love with the club, so much so he has since admitted he regrets not buying Everton in 2007, telling the Daily Mirror newspaper in 2015: "If I knew what I know now I’d have snapped it up.
"That was when football clubs were affordable but now it’s a billionaire’s game."
Cruise is 5/1 on new betting sites sites to appear at Goodison Park on August 17 to see Everton take on Brighton, while it's 6/1 he heads to Brentford vs Crystal Palace on Sunday August 18th.
Earlier this year, Cruise was spotted filming the next Mission: Impossible movie in Derbyshire, but it looks unlikely that he will head to nearby Nottingham on the opening day of the Premier League season.
He is 12/1 to visit the City Ground for Nottingham Forest's clash with Bournemouth, while he is 10/1 for a trip to Leicester City's King Power Stadium on Monday August 19th.
