Next Everton Manager Odds: Steve Cooper New Frontrunner To Replace Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche is under pressure at Everton and the best betting sites have opened a market on who might replace him in the Goodison Park dugout.
A 4-0 defeat by Manchester United left Everton in a precarious position in the Premier League table. Ahead of Wednesday's crunch clash with Wolves, the Toffees are just two points clear of the bottom three.
Dyche joined Everton in January 2023. He inherited a team that was second-from-bottom in the table but went on to keep them up, securing a 17th-place finish.
He performed even better last season, as the Toffees survived comfortably despite suffering two points deductions.
Patience is running thin, however. Everton fans are frustrated with Dyche’s brand of football and results have mostly been poor. With a new ownership group on the verge of taking over, Dyche’s days could be numbered.
Who will be chosen as his replacement if he does depart? Let’s take a look at the contenders.

Cooper Favourite Despite Leicester Dismissal
Former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper was fired by Leicester after just 12 Premier League games.
The board made a quick decision for his replacement by bringing in former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
According to football betting sites, Cooper is the favourite for the Everton job at 8/5.
One question is whether the Welshman would want a break from the game or whether he is ready to jump straight back in.
Moreover, Cooper was criticised for a negative style of play at Leicester, which is one of the reasons why many Everton fans want to see Dyche sacked.
Could Moyes Return To Everton?
David Moyes revealed that he was close to rejoining Everton in 2019, before Carlo Ancelotti took the job at Goodison Park.
The Scot could be on his way back to the blue half of Merseyside soon, with Moyes currently priced at 7/4 to succeed Dyche.
It is unclear what the fans would think about such a move. Some would doubtless see it as a step backwards for the club, while others would presumably welcome back a manager who did a fantastic job in his first spell.
Moyes did a good job at West Ham, so he has proved he can still cut it at this level, but his football is not known to be the most attractive.
Parker Has Premier League Experience
Scott Parker is next on the list at odds of 9/4. He has managed in the Premier League before, having taken charge of Fulham and Bournemouth in the top flight.
However, he was relegated with the Cottagers and left the Cherries following a 9-0 defeat by Liverpool.

Parker is currently at the helm of Burnley where he is dong a good job.
Burnley are second in the Championship as they target an immediate return to the Premier League.
However, he may be reluctant to walk out on the Clarets after just a few months in charge.
Potter Has Snubbed Other Jobs
Graham Potter has been out of work for more than 20 months, having been sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.
He has reportedly had several offers to return to management since then - the latest of which was apparently from Leicester - but Potter is biding his time and waiting for the right opportunity.
Everton could be exactly that. This is a bigger club than others he has been linked with, while the new owners will hopefully have money to spend. Potter is an interesting dark horse at 5/2.
Carrick Could Be Ready To Make Step Up
Michael Carrick has Middlesbrough in the play-off positions in the Championship as he aims to lead the club from his native northeast to promotion.
However, an offer from a top-flight club like Everton would be tough to turn down.
Carrick, who is listed at 3/1 with betting apps, would arguably be a more exciting appointment than some of the names listed here, but also a riskier one.
It all depends on how desperate Everton consider their position to be. If they believe they are in genuine danger of relegation, Carrick is likely to be overlooked this time around.
