Antonio Conte became manager of Tottenham Hotspur on 2 November 2021, signing an 18-month contract and this was a popular appointment among supporters who had previously seen the Italian deliver a Premier League title success with Chelsea during his first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

Conte had previously been pursued by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy during the summer before Nuno Espirito Santo was installed, although the former Juventus and Inter coach felt as though it wasn’t the right time to be jumping into a new role so shortly after landing the Scudetto at the San Siro against the odds on the best online betting sites.

Now Conte might be regretting the fact that he eventually said ‘yes’ to the Tottenham Hotspur manager role at all, with the 52-year-old possibly underestimating the size of the task that faces him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A recent 1-0 defeat at Burnley saw him speak very openly and suggest that he might not be the right candidate to improve matters on the pitch.

He's quoted by the BBC as saying: "I came here to help the club and if the problem could be the coach I'm ready to go, no problem. I am not used to this situation. I am trying everything, but the situation is not changing. I am available and open with the club to do what the club wants."

If there is a parting of the ways between Conte and Tottenham Hotspur, it will be interesting to see where football betting sites believe Levy goes next when it comes to a new manager.

Ever since Mauricio Pochettino left the club, there hasn’t been an effective coach in charge, with the reign of Jose Mourinho turning suitably toxic before Nuno’s failed stint.

Could Ralph Hasenhuttl Be The Man To Improve Tottenham?

Given the relative resources of the two clubs, it’s remarkable that Tottenham Hotspur are only two places higher than Southampton in the 2021/22 Premier League standings.

While Spurs have been largely underwhelming this season with the exception of the odd bright performance such as the 3-2 win at Manchester City, The Saints have punched well above their weight.

Indeed, the Hampshire club were among the favourites on the Premier League free bets for relegation at the beginning of the season, with the fans unimpressed by the departure of Jannik Vestergaard and Danny Ings from St Mary’s.

However, Ralph Hasenhuttl has arguably been the most outstanding top-flight manager of the season at this stage in proceedings.

The Austrian has steered Southampton into the top-half of the Premier League table and created a vibrant and attacking team who are getting positive results against some of the leading teams in England. The Saints recently held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw before achieving the same scoreline at Old Trafford and then came a 3-2 win at Tottenham.

That victory served to highlight what a good job Hasenhuttl has been doing on a limited budget and perhaps Tottenham will have taken note of his excellent management record since taking charge at St Mary’s.

A move from St Mary’s to Spurs for the “Alpine Klopp” would mirror the same switch made by Mauricio Pochettino a few years ago and it can be found at 11/4 on Betfair.

Graham Potter Could Be Interested In Tottenham Position

Another current Premier League manager who could potentially switch to North London is Graham Potter, with the Englishman having largely done a good job with Brighton & Hove Albion this season.

The Seagulls have become a relatively permanent fixture in the top-flight under the former Swansea boss after previously scrapping against the drop when being managed by Chris Hughton.

Potter has cultivated an attractive style of play at the AMEX Stadium without breaking the bank and perhaps he’s just a predatory goalscorer away from creating a winning team.

With Harry Kane on the books at Tottenham and money to recruit new players, perhaps this would be a good fit if Brighton allowed him to leave. You can find him at 5/1 to do just that.

Brendan Rodgers Might Be Ready To Leave Leicester

Brendan Rodgers

It’s not been a particularly happy season for Brendan Rodgers who has seen his Leicester City lurch from one crisis to another.

Their bottom half placing is in stark contrast to the previous two campaigns where the Foxes have challenged for a top four position and narrowly missed out each time.

Rodgers said that he was “embarrassed” by a recent FA Cup performance at Nottingham Forest.

That defeat saw holders Leicester lose 4-1 at the City Ground and the Northern Irishman has been regularly trading as one of the Premier League Sack Race betting favourites throughout the season, having also been linked to the Man United and Arsenal manager’s position.

Roberto Martinez Eager To Return To Club Management

Roberto Martinez has now been in charge of the Belgian national job for several years, although the Spaniard has previously managed Wigan Athletic and Everton in the Premier League.

The 48-year-old is pretty young to be an international manager and might feel now is the time to dip his toe back in the water.

Martinez will also feel as though he’s now a better football coach than he was during his formative years, with the former midfielder having worked with some of the world’s leading players in the form of Kevin de Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku. Perhaps he can bring about a new start for Tottenham.

But, with a price of 10/1 and Belgium being one of the 2022 World Cup free bets favourites, it’s hard to see this one happening.

Ten Hag Boasts An Impressive Track Record At Ajax

While Tottenham Hotspur were recently losing 1-0 at Burnley on Wednesday 23 February, Ajax Amsterdam were competing in the Champions League and claiming a credible 2-2 draw away to Benfica which puts them in the box seat to reach the last eight stage of the competition.

Erik ten Hag is the manager of the Dutch champions, and the 52-year-old is among the betting favourites to become the next Manchester United manager.

Although, perhaps Tottenham can make an official approach for someone who has steered Ajax to two Eredivisie titles and also made them into one of the most exciting European teams this term.

Ten Hag came close to engineering a Champions League final spot for the Dutch side three seasons ago when they overcame Juventus and Real Madrid along the way only to be beaten by Tottenham in an exciting semi-final tie.

It might be that he feels as though this can be his final hurrah in the Netherlands before taking on an exciting new project.
