Liverpool's hopes of recording a remarkable quadruple were ended at Old Trafford in one of the best FA Cup ties in recent seasons.

Jurgen Klopp's side led 3-2 with eight minutes of extra-time remaining, but Manchester United booked their place in the semi-finals by scoring the winner in the 120th minute.

The defeat leaves Liverpool, who have already won the EFL Cup, with two more trophies to play for this season; the Premier League and Europa League. How many trophies will they end the season with?

The best betting sites continue to update their prices for Liverpool to win multiple trophies this season.

Before their FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford, Liverpool were confident of becoming the first English team to win the quadruple.

Despite the loss, there is still plenty for the Reds to play for. They are joint leaders of the Premier League with Arsenal and they are through to the last eight of the Europa League.

The international break comes at a good time for Klopp's men, who can recharge their batteries and launch an assault in their two remaining competitions.

Let’s take a look at the latest odds with football betting sites, before we dig deeper into Liverpool’s standing in their quest for a treble.

Premier League Top Target For Klopp

Liverpool have only won the title once in the Premier League era. That success came in the coronavirus-impacted season of 2019/20, so the club’s supporters will be desperate to see their team lift the trophy inside a packed Anfield.

This season more than ever, given the news that Jurgen Klopp announced he will be stepping down at Liverpool manager at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The Reds are joint leaders of the Premier League with Arsenal, who have a slightly better goal difference after 28 games played.

Former Liverpool centre-back Phil Babb gave his thoughts exclusively to Gambling.com prior to the recent EFL Cup triumph on what the fairytale ending for Klopp would be: "I think the Premier League. I think after last season – (it) was quite tough, the rebuild in summer, getting rid of five key players, rebuilding this midfield.

"I think it would be a fantastic achievement if he could (win the Premier League), bearing in mind how good Manchester City are, how well and efficient Arsenal are.

"If he could bring home just one it would be the Premier League."

The Reds have pushed City close in the past and they currently have a one-point buffer over their Manchester rivals at the top of the league with 10 matches to play.

Liverpool have lost just twice in the league this season. Both defeats have been on the road, as Klopp's side have not lost at Anfield in the league since October 2022 - a 2-1 loss to Leeds.

With the League Cup already won, the most likely double in the bookies' eyes is that of Premier League and EFL Cup, a combination which is priced at 2/1.

Liverpool Continue As Europa League Favourites

Liverpool remain the favourites to win the Europa League this season, following an impressive group stage and a resounding 11-2 win over Sparta Prague in their Europa League Round of 16 tie.

The quarter-final draw was favourable for Liverpool with Atalanta standing between the Reds and a place in the semi-finals.

If they come through that, they will face either Benfica or Marseille for a place in the final in Dublin on Wednesday, May 22.

This was acknowledged by Babb: "I think we’re bookies favourites for the Europa League, and to have that final in Dublin would be incredible, so that’s one I’m looking forward to."

New betting sites rate the Reds' chances at just 1/1 to lift the Europa League trophy for the fourth time in their history, with second favourites Bayer Leverkusen well back at 7/2.

Leverkusen have been drawn against West Ham in the quarter-finals, with a possible semi-final against either AC Milan or Roma after that.

No one will want to face Klopp’s men in the Europa League and if it doesn't become a distraction, Liverpool will be tough to beat.

EFL Cup’s Early Finish Could Do Liverpool A Favour

Some managers of the top Premier League teams prefer the EFL Cup to the FA Cup.

That is largely because the bulk of the tournament is finished by January, with the final then held in late February or early March.

Liverpool are the most successful club in the history of this competition and their latest triumph has put them into double figures.

So, instead of a quadruple, Liverpool have a treble to play for. A number of injured players should be ready to return after the international break to boost their chances.

Could Liverpool finish the season by adding the Europa League and the Premier League?

Babb stated: "I mean they’re all winnable, that’s the thing. You look at who’s in the competitions, why can’t we do it?"

Following their defeat in dramatic fashion to United, Liverpool's odds to win a treble are 9/2 with betting apps in Klopp's final season in charge.
