Tonight's Champions League Predictions:

A battle of Britain and a clash between European giants headlines Wednesday’s Champions League action, as fans and UK betting sites alike prepare for the big kick-offs.

Having put up a decent showing at Anfield last week, Rangers welcome an injury ravaged Liverpool to Ibrox. Meanwhile, Group D sees Inter Millan and Barcelona throw down in a mega-clash at the Nou Camp.

Tottenham are also in action, as the Europa League holders Eintracht Frankfurt travel to North London later.

Don’t forget to use any of the Champions League free bets firms are kindly offering ahead of matches!

Below, you will see that we’ve served you up three top tips (we hit on two out of three on Tuesday) and a breakdown of why we have picked them out.

Tottenham vs Eintracht Frankfurt, Wednesday, 8pm

It could be a make-or-break night for Tottenham’s ambitions in the Champions League as Eintracht Frankfurt land at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium level on points with them in Group D.

Just three points separates all the sides in the group, and Antonio Conte’s men have only picked up a single point in their last two European outings.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt have turned things around from their opening fixture drubbing at the hands of Sporting, grabbing four points from games with Marseille and Spurs.

The Germans will also be buoyed the fact that they’ve won on their previous pair of trips to London, beating Arsenal in November 2019 and West Ham last April.

One of the key reasons Tottenham have stuttered in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) this season has been the lack of impact on the scoresheet from Harry Kane.

Kane has failed to find the net for Spurs in Europe this term, but his form in the Premier League is ominous as he has scored in his last three domestic matches.

We expect his drought in the UCL to end here, and clearly football betting sites believe the same as he is rated as an Evens shot to score anytime on Wednesday.

Barcelona vs Inter Milan, Wednesday, 8pm

Barcelona’s makeshift defence held firm in a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo at the weekend to ensure they remain top of La Liga ahead of two potentially season-defining matches.

An upcoming El Clásico would ordinarily take precedence, but with Barcelona third in Group C and facing the threat of a second consecutive absence from the UCL knockouts since 1998/99, focus must be on this game for now.

A trip to face Barcelona may not be as intimidating as it once was with the Catalans winning just two of their last nine UEFA home matches (D3, L4), but Barça will be no pushovers after four consecutive victories in competitive games at the Camp Nou.

While other clubs may not have found a visit to the Camp Nou daunting, Inter certainly have, losing more UCL away games here (five) than anywhere else!

Despite the confidence gained from back-to-back-wins coming into this match, Inter have struggled in Serie A this season (W5, L4) and their last away UCL win in Spain came way back in October 2004 (D1, L7 since), indicating that their fledgling winning run will be under serious threat here.

But based on the reverse fixture last week, Inter were more than able to handle Barcelona and the current 9/2 about them with Paddy Power in the Draw No Bet market looks more than fair.

Rangers vs Liverpool, Wednesday, 8pm

Their first season back in the Champions League group stages since 2010/11 hasn’t gone to plan whatsoever for Rangers, as they’ve lost all their games so far without finding the net.

That start forms part of a troubling spell in Europe’s elite club competition, with the Gers managing only one win across their last 19 UCL group games (D6, L12), while they’ve also failed to score in eight of their last 11 matches in the competition proper.

The mood in the Liverpool camp may be sombre as after their 3-2 loss to Arsenal at the weekend, they’re still winless on the road this season (D2, L3). No one, including betting apps, saw this start to the season coming for the Reds.

The UCL is perhaps where Jürgen Klopp’s side can redeem themselves, as they currently occupy second place in Group A and will be bidding to win here in order to push on to top their group for a fourth successive campaign.

Liverpool’s hopes of progression may lie in the hands of their defence, as while the Reds have scored in 19 of their last 20 UCL group stage matches, keeping clean sheets has been their biggest challenge lately.

They’ve shut out their opponents only three times in their last 14 matches, one of those being the 2-0 win over Rangers in the reverse fixture.

Liverpool have been struggling for form this season and with the fitness of their defence now a massive concern, Rangers will fancy their chances of getting a result from this game.
