Fantasy Premier League Tips: The Ultimate FPL Guide to GW34
We are into the final stretch when it comes to the 2023/24 Premier League season and football betting sites still have a huge array of markets to settle on what has been a fascinating campaign.
That means Fantasy Premier League managers will be hoping to finish strongly and achieve the highest possible overall ranking in their leagues.
There’s also the small matter of winning mini-leagues and there are going to be some high-scoring game weeks coming up including the next one.
GW34 includes 13 fixtures which means six different teams have a double set of games.
Managers should be looking to target players from this half dozen clubs who have massive scoring potential, with Manchester City among the clubs who will be playing 180 minutes of football.

When Is The Game Week 34 Transfer Deadline?
The Game Week 34 transfer deadline is 11am on Saturday, April 29, shortly before Crystal Palace meet West Ham in the lunchtime kick-off.
Which Clubs Have The Best Double Game Week?
Let’s start with LIVERPOOL, who are trying to defy their outside chance in the Premier League top four odds. They have two Anfield clashes against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.
When Jurgen Klopp’s side play at home, they usually score plenty of goals and managers will be targeting Reds attacking assets in a bid to boost their overall points tally in the game.
However, MAN CITY travel to Fulham before a home clash with West Ham and now could be the time to increase the number of City players in your squad.
MANCHESTER UNITED start their double GW with a home clash against Aston Villa before a trip to BRIGHTON, with the Seagulls hosting Wolves before that clash with the Red Devils.
Although FULHAM have a double GW, the fixtures are not attractive and the same applies to WEST HAM, who travel to Selhurst Park before heading to the Etihad Stadium.
Which Teams Have The Best FPL Fixtures For GW34 And Beyond?
We’ll mention it again - BRIGHTON have eight fixtures remaining between now and the end of the season.
Compare this to the clubs who play five games and there are obvious advantages to loading up with Seagulls assets, with Roberto de Zerbi’s team having three double Game Weeks in 34, 36 and 37.
MAN CITY are chasing a treble and they aren’t just the best team in the land, but they have seven games remaining including a DGW in 34 and 37.
Their fixture list is also favourable, but they do have that Champions League double header against Real Madrid to muddy the waters and players will be rested if they land the Premier League title with games to spare.
MAN UTD also have seven matches to go, with four of them taking place at Old Trafford and the fact that they’re out of Europe means that we can expect a strong starting XI for each of the remaining Premier League encounters.
NEWCASTLE and LIVERPOOL have six games left, with the former having a double GW36 which could be targeted to good effect.
Who Are The Best GW34 Players To Buy?
Defenders
The ownership percentage of TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD (£7.5m) will increase sharply this week and we’re likely to see the Liverpool defender top up his points total during home games against Tottenham and Fulham.
The right-back seems to pop up in central midfield when his team are in possession and attacking returns seem just as likely as clean sheet points right now.
Man Utd’s double GW means that LUKE SHAW (£5.1m) is proving a warm order although his deployment at centre-half has reduced his attacking impact for the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Man City’s favourable run-in means that JOHN STONES (£5.5m) will also be popular and the England man was on the scoresheet against Arsenal on Wednesday.
Midfielders
With MARCUS RASHFORD (£7.1m) back fit and firing for Man United, he’s the most acquired midfielder in FPL for this Game Week.
The England man is getting close to the 200-point total in the game this season, with that double GW looking inviting and his price tag is really attractive for someone playing in an advanced position.
You’ll need more funds to secure the signature of MOHAMED SALAH (£13.0m), however it’s risky to be without a player who lines up for Liverpool at home to Fulham and Tottenham.
There’s obviously captaincy potential with the Egyptian king and we know that he’s capable of bumper hauls in the game.
Those wanting to take a long-term view could do worse than purchase Brighton midfielders KAORU MITOMA (£5.6m), ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER (£5.5m) or SOLLY MARCH (£5.2m) considering the sheer volume of remaining fixtures and it all starts with a Double Game Week at the AMEX against Wolves and Manchester United.
Forwards
We’re going to work on the basis that you either have ERLING HAALAND (£12.3m) or you’re planning to bring him in for this Game Week.
A bigger differential could be DIOGO JOTA (£8.8m) who has been making it rain in Fantasy Premier League recently, scoring 29 points in the space of two recent Game Weeks and many managers made an early move for the Portuguese.
Although ALEXANDER ISAK (£6.8m) doesn’t have a Double Game Week, the Newcastle forward will face Southampton at St James’ Park and it could see the forward racking up the points, with the Swede having recently clocked up 13-point totals against Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
Who Are The Best GW34 Players To Sell?
Defenders
REECE JAMES continues to experience disappointment with injuries and the Chelsea full-back has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Those with BEN CHILWELL might also look to remove this player considering that the Blues are struggling to win games right now, with better options available for the money.
KIERAN TRIPPIER might be the top-scoring defender in Fantasy Premier League this season but the England full-back has been attaining low totals for the past few weeks and selling this Newcastle defender could free up funds, while BEN WHITE and GABRIEL are also being sold off.
Midfielders
Arsenal assets have been pretty valuable in FPL during the 2023/24 season, although perhaps it’s now time to wave goodbye to BUKAYO SAKA, GABRIEL MARTINELLI and MARTIN ODEGAARD.
The Gunners don’t have any more Double Game Weeks between now and the end of the season, with managers preferring players who have more fixtures.
JAMES MADDISON was brought in by managers for GW32 before falling ill and he’s also surplus to requirements when it comes to many squads as Leicester continue to battle Premier League relegation.
CODY GAKPO possibly the wrong Liverpool attacking option considering the form of Salah and Jota.
Forwards
HARRY KANE has been pretty reliable in FPL this season, but his removal frees up plenty of funds to bolster your team - with the Tottenham forward heading to Anfield in GW34 and Spurs don’t have too many games left.
Meanwhile, OLLIE WATKINS drew a rare blank against Fulham on Tuesday and a trip to Old Trafford has persuaded managers that there are better striker options for Game Week 34.
Who Should Be Captain For Game Week 34?
The big question is – do you dare to go against Erling Haaland with the armband?
We haven’t ever seen someone with the ability to power score in FPL like the Man City forward, with a trip to Craven Cottage and a home clash against West Ham likely to yield goals as he chases down more records.
However, Mo Salah having two home matches is a big draw, especially if Tottenham are as abject defensively as they were when losing 6-1 at Newcastle.
The Egyptian could also make hay against Fulham a few days later and it means that the direction of the armband is more of a dilemma than usual.
