Joey Essex Odds: What Will Love Island Star Do Next?

Love Island is over for another summer, and the UK show made history this year after the first-ever celebrity contestant appeared in series 11.  

Former TOWIE star Joey Essex shocked viewers and Islanders when he appeared as the first bombshell of the season on the June 3 launch night. 

He went on to find love with partner Jessy Potts, and the pair narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

Following their villa exit, there has been plenty of speculation on betting sites about what Joey might do next, and he has surprised fans by insisting he is hanging up his reality TV boots.  

He told The Sun newspaper: "I must say, genuinely, that Love Island was probably my last ever reality show." 

Despite this, he is just 4/7 to return to reality TV. 

It comes after the 34-year-old star appeared on Splash!, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, The Jump, Celebrity Ex on The Beach, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and Dancing on Ice to name a few.  

His latest reality stint saw him finish in fifth place on Love Island, and just a few days later Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan won the series and the £50,000 prize. 

But what will Joey, Mimii and Josh get up to next?  

Will Joey Essex Appear In Another Reality Show?

Love Island Return?  

While Joey certainly seems loved up and claims he is done with reality TV, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he popped up in another incarnation of the dating show if things went sour with Jessy. 

He is just 6/1 on specials betting sites to take part in spin-off series Love Island Games, and 4/1 to appear on the UK celebrity version, Love Island All Stars.  

What's more, he could follow in his former TOWIE co-star Mark Wright's footsteps by turning to TV presenting.  

Joey is 7/1 to land a roving reporter position on This Morning, and 8/1 to front a game show.  

He has some previous presenting experience after being an online Celebs Go Dating presenter for series four and five, after appearing in the first two seasons of the E4 show, as well as season nine. 

It's just 10/1 he returns to Celebs Go Dating if he and Jessy were to go their separate ways.

Mimii And Josh To Stick Or Twist? 

The latest Love Island series may have ended well for Mimii, but she endured some heartache to get there.  

Earlier in the series, she was dumped by her then-partner Ayo Odukoya after Casa Amor, but fortunately bombshell Josh appeared in the villa and the pair struck up a romance.  

After tasting victory in the villa, they are now just 8/11 on betting apps to land their own reality TV series.  

This has been a well-trodden path for several Love Island winners, including Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, and Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu.  

Mimii And Josh Next Project Odds 

Mimii and Josh could also follow in the footsteps of 2020 winners Finn Tapp and Paige Turley, who went on to appear on Celebrity Coach Trip, and even Ex on the Beach.  

The most recent show winners are 5/1 to take part in Celebrity Coach Trip and 10/1 for an Ex on the Beach appearance if things don't work out so well.  

However, they could even follow the likes of January 2023 winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, who returned to their day jobs.  

Mimii is a mental health nurse by trade, while Josh is a semi-pro footballer and model, and the pair are just 11/8 to revert to their careers and prioritise their romance over fame.
