In four seasons at Celtic, McClair made 471 appearances in all competitions and scored 127 goals, securing the Scottish Premier League and Scottish FA Cup while finishing as top-scorer for the Hoops on four occasions.

His prolific goalscoring record quickly attracted the attention of clubs south of the border and in 1987, McClair became Alex Ferguson's first signing at Manchester United, going on to win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the European Cup Winners' Cup in his 11 years at Old Trafford.

For the Saints, who sit rock-bottom of the Premier League, it's a chance to bring some much-needed holiday cheer to their struggling campaign. 

Winless in their last seven matches and with only two goals in their previous five outings, Southampton’s lack of firepower has been a glaring issue that demands urgent attention.

Meanwhile, West Ham are in 14th place having secured two wins in their last six matches. 

With both teams in desperate need for points, a tense encounter could be on the cards in this Boxing Day clash.

Wolves Vs Man Utd, Boxing Day, 5.30pm

Wolves face Manchester United in a Premier League clash between two struggling teams in desperate need of momentum. 

Wolves, 18th in the table, have endured a nightmare campaign, conceding a league-high 40 goals before manager Gary O'Neil’s departure. 

New boss Vítor Pereira brought a glimmer of hope with a clean sheet and emphatic victory over Leicester in his first game in charge, sparking optimism of a turnaround in fortunes.

Meanwhile, Manchester United's woes persist under Ruben Amorim, as the Red Devils languish in 13th with 22 points. 

Despite the managerial change, plenty of issues still plague the squad, with key players like Marcus Rashford being linked with a move as a rebuild looms. 

United will have to dig deep to avoid further setbacks, but Pereira’s new-look Wolves will aim to exploit their vulnerability.
