Arsenal vs Man City Predictions:

The top two teams in the Premier League will meet for a crucial six-pointer at the Emirates Stadium tonight.

Betting sites make Man City the 29/20 favourites to beat Arsenal in what could prove to be a pivotal clash in the title race.

However, the Gunners are unbeaten at home this season, so they will be undaunted by the prospect of facing Pep Guardiola’s men.

They still lead Man City by three points at the top of the table - with a game in hand - despite faltering in recent weeks.

Victory tonight would make them the odds-on favourites to lift the trophy in May, whereas defeat would see them knocked off the top of the table for the first time since August.

Mikel Arteta will have his players fired-up, and it will be intriguing to see if he can get the better of his mentor, Guardiola, in arguably the biggest game of his managerial career thus far.

We have analysed the key betting markets and highlighted our top tips below.

Back Both Teams To Score

Man City battled to a 1-0 victory over Arsenal when these teams met in the fourth round of the FA Cup on January 27.

It was a tight, tense game with very few chances, but we should see a more open and entertaining contest when they renew hostilities tonight.

First, it is worth noting that both teams rested key players for that FA Cup clash.

Arteta left captain Martin Odegaard, marauding left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, flying winger Gabriel Martinelli and defensive lynchpin William Saliba out of the starting XI, and the Gunners lacked their usual fluency.

Arsenal will be a lot stronger in today’s Premier League game, and they could cause problems for a Man City defence that has not kept too many clean sheets in recent weeks.

These are the two top-scoring teams in the league - 55 goals in 22 games for Man City, and 46 in 21 matches for Arsenal.

The Gunners have found the back of the net in all but two of their matches so far this season, and the same is true of Man City, so both teams to score looks like an appealing option on football betting sites.

Can Arsenal Get A Result In This Vital Game?

Arsenal have a superb record at the Emirates Stadium this season: eight wins, two draws and zero defeats from 10 home games.

They have not lost a home league game since April 2022, despite hosting the likes of Man Utd, Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle since then.

It is, therefore, interesting to see Arteta’s men installed as underdogs for this match, with odds as long as 19/10 with some new betting sites.

That reflects recent results - the 1-0 FA Cup defeat was followed by a 1-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park and then a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brentford at the weekend.

However, there are mitigating circumstances, as Everton enjoyed a new manager bounce under Sean Dyche and Arsenal were robbed of victory against Brentford by the incompetence of the VAR official.

Both teams sat back and defended doggedly, whereas Arsenal could fare better against a team that play on the front foot, like Man City.

Not only do they have home advantage, but they have also enjoyed an extra day of rest since their last game.

Man City have only won five of their 10 away matches this season, and manager Pep Guardiola recently bemoaned tiring journeys to London following a 1-0 defeat to Spurs, so the odds on Arsenal draw no bet look very appealing.

Punt On Julian Alvarez To Find The Net

Mikel Arteta And Pep Guardiola

Man City could be without star striker Erling Haaland for this game after he suffered a thigh injury in the 3-1 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

He may be fit to return, but Guardiola could opt to leave him on the bench or play Haaland up front alongside Julian Alvarez in a traditional strike partnership.

Either way, Alvarez has a decent chance of starting this game, so odds of 3/1 on him finding the back of the net look appealing.

The World Cup winner has scored nine times already for Man City this season, despite often being limited to cameo appearances, and his 29% goal conversion rate is impressive.

If he does not start, this bet can be quickly cashed out, and it will be voided if he plays no part in the game.

Go Under on Total Corners

There were just three corners awarded when Man City and Arsenal squared off in the FA Cup a few weeks ago.

All three of them were awarded to Arsenal, as Man City did not win a single corner in the entire match.

Both teams play with inverted wingers, so Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard spent a lot of time cutting inside.

Guardiola and Arteta also instruct their full-backs to regularly join the midfield, and it creates a lot of congestion in the middle of the park, resulting in very few corners, so odds of 3/4 on betting apps for under 10 corners looks great.
