The Chargers are coming off their worst game of the season, allowing 40 points at home to Tampa Bay, and the biggest question may be how they start after needing a big fourth-quarter rally to defeat the Colts on Sunday.  

Both teams have run the ball poorly of late. Denver had several short-field scenarios on Sunday, which was helped by those five turnovers. 

Bo Nix and Justin Herbert looked far from themselves on Sunday and the defenses might have the upper hand.

The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers know what is at stake on Thursday night. 

For the Broncos, health has been less of a concern. Meanwhile, the Chargers are missing a few players and an ankle issue has again limited Justin Herbert.

The Chargers have lost three of four and managed only 17 points in three straight games. The offense struggles to reach 300 yards (it has yet to do so in over a month).

Denver look more like the playoff team on the way up, while Los Angeles appears to be running out of gas.

Last week, the Rams vs 49ers game turned into a kicker’s duel as rain led to issues inside the red zone for both offenses.
