Bruno Fernandes Next Club Odds: Bayern On Pole To Land Man Utd Skipper
It has been another disappointing season for Manchester United and the best betting sites believe Bruno Fernandes could seek pastures new this summer.
The Portugal international has been a consistent performer throughout his time at Old Trafford, even if that has not led to much in the way of collective success.
Fernandes has been at the club for four and a half years, yet he only has one EFL Cup to show for it.
There has been criticism of the attacking midfielder’s attitude and body language at times, but no one can doubt that he has delivered the goods on the pitch.
Reports released this week suggest Fernandes is ready to call time on his United career, although the Red Devils will not want to lose their most prized asset, especially as they have the option to extend his contract until 2027.
If Fernandes does leave, where might he end up? Let’s run through the top contenders to sign him according to football betting sites.
Bayern And PSG Lead Race For Fernandes
Bayern Munich are the 6/4 favourites with betting apps to land the United captain.
The German giants have been mentioned in several of the reports linking the Portuguese with a transfer this summer.
Having fallen short in the Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB-Pokal this season, Bayern look set to splash some cash ahead of next term.

Thomas Tuchel may yet stay at the Allianz Arena after all and he is known to be an admirer of Fernandes. The player himself would probably be keen on this move too.
Paris Saint-Germain are next on the list at 2/1. With Kylian Mbappe set to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the campaign, the French side need to revamp their attack in the summer.
If Fernandes is made available for transfer, PSG are expected to be in the mix.
Italy Return Could Be An Option For Fernandes
Despite being part of the Boavista youth team in his native Portugal, Fernandes spent the first few years of his senior career in Italy, turning out for Novara, Udinese and Sampdoria.
The Manchester United midfielder speaks Italian and he may be open to the idea of returning to Serie A ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Inter Milan (11/4) and Juventus (3/1) are the two obvious candidates. The Nerazzurri dominated Serie A this season but fell short in the Champions League, so adding a player of Fernandes’ quality would help them fare better in Europe.
Juventus have had a disappointing campaign overall and they too will be looking to improve their squad over the summer, with the attack-minded Thiago Motta set to replace the more cautious Max Allegri in the dugout.
Champions League Finalists Seen As Outsiders
Real Madrid is the dream destination for numerous footballers around the world and Fernandes would no doubt love the chance to wear their famous white kit next season.
Yet, Los Blancos are only a 4/1 shot, primarily because it is hard to see where Fernandes would fit in.
Jude Bellingham has the No 10 role locked down under Carlo Ancelotti, and Fernandes does not fit the profile of player that Madrid often use out wide.
Borussia Dortmund (11/2) would also struggle to sign the 29-year-old playmaker. Firstly, they would find it hard to match the wages on offer at Manchester United.
Secondly, they are not exactly a European powerhouse despite their presence in this season’s Champions League final. Moreover, Dortmund tend to prefer to sign up-and-coming talent over established stars.
Barcelona And Saudi Arabia Unlikely For Different Reasons
Barcelona, priced here at 6/1 with new betting sites would no doubt love the chance to add Fernandes to their ranks this summer, but the Catalan outfit are once again in a sticky spot with regards to their financial situation.
It is hard to see them being able to afford either the required transfer fee or Fernandes’ wage demands, which is why they are some way down the betting.
Money is not an issue for the clubs that compete in the Saudi Arabia Pro League, particularly those backed by the state. But you can only get odds of 10/1 on that being Fernandes’ next stop because he will surely want to continue playing at the highest level for a few more seasons.
More broadly, we do not yet know whether Saudi sides will splash as much cash this year as they did in 2023.
