Championship BTTS Tips: The Panel's 4 Predictions For Saturday

It’s round two of The Panel’s new Championship both teams to score tips, but this week we are concentrating mainly on the early kick-offs.

We have looked at the latest odds on the best betting sites and picked out four matches from the second tier which can be combined in an acca at the foot of the page.

QPR Vs Millwall Tips: Capital Gains At Loftus Road?

QPR may only have made a so-so start in the Championship, but they are flying the flag in both teams to score terms.

Their 100% record of scoring and conceding seemed to be over last week as their trip to Sheffield Wednesday entered extra time goalless, but the Owls took a 93rd-minute lead through Barry Bannan’s excellent strike off the underside of the bar.

However, three minutes later the very definition of a goalmouth scramble ensured a 1-1 draw and gave The Panel a second winning tip at 4/5.

Those odds have been increased to 10/11 with football betting sites for the home clash with Millwall, who have the highest expected goals metric in the Championship at 10.79.

The Lions’ first two matches ended in 3-2 and 4-3 defeats against Watford and Bristol City, and this fixture has delivered in four of the last five seasons, so The Panel are on board with this 12.30pm kick-off.

Sunderland Vs Middlesbrough Odds: Derby Delight On Cards

The Tees-Wear derby is one of the Championship highlights as both sides look to bounce back from dropping points last weekend.

Sunderland’s perfect start to the season ended in dramatic fashion as Joe Edwards struck in the 93rd minute to earn Plymouth a 3-2 victory.

The Black Cats have now scored in every match and their last two games have involved goals at both ends.

Boro, unbeaten in three, drew 1-1 and 2-2 with Preston and Portsmouth respectively in two of their last three matches, and they take a division high 18.8 shots per game, so hopes are high we could see goals at the Stadium of Light.

Norwich Vs Watford Preview: Go For Goals At Carrow Road

Both teams had realistic expectations of promotion at the start of the season, but it has been Watford who have proved the likelier of the two in the early stage of the campaign.

The Hornets have taken 10 points from their opening five games and were one of The Panel’s BTTS tips last week when they drew 1-1 at home to Coventry.

That was the third time Watford had scored and conceded this season, but even more encouraging is the fact there were goals galore in both meetings between the sides in the 2023-24 campaign.

Watford overcame a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 at Vicarage Road and in the return fixture the Canaries went 2-0 ahead again, but this time ran out 4-2 winners.

Hopefully, the goals will flow again and betting apps make these teams 8/11 to find the next in the last of our BTTS predictions from the lunchtime games.

Bristol City Vs Oxford Betting Tips: Ashton Gate Thriller Expected

Hopefully, The Panel’s BTTS tips will still be in with a chance of a successful acca by the time Bristol City and Oxford get under way at 3pm.

The Robins have the joint leakiest defence in the division, having conceded 11 goals, six of which have come in their last two games – 3-0 defeats at Derby and Blackburn.

Seventh-placed Oxford have scored in all five matches this season and both of their away games have resulted in goals at both ends.

These sides also met in the Carabao Cup last season when City ran out 5-1 winners and although Saturday’s game is expected to be closer, goals could still be the order of the day.
