Enzo Fernandez Next Club Odds: Atletico Madrid Favourites To Sign Him
Enzo Fernandez helped Argentina win back-to-back Copa America titles, thanks to their 1-0 win over Colombia in the final in Miami.
However, the celebrations were marred by a video posted on Fernandez's Instagram account, showing the Chelsea midfielder and other team-mates singing a song that the French Football Federation said included alleged "racist and discriminatory language".
The video has been condemned by some of his club colleagues and places the Argentine, and Chelsea, in a very difficult situation.
UK betting sites believe Fernandez's future might lie away from Chelsea, who he joined from Benfica for £107m in February 2023.
Fernandez issued an apology on his social media platforms, but FIFA have started an investigation into the incident.
So where will the Argentine be playing his football next season? Will he still be at Stamford Bridge or could it be elsewhere? We take a look at the options.

Atletico Madrid | 7/4 | 36.4% |

Any Saudi Club | 4/1 | 20% |
Manchester United | 6/1 | 14.3% |

Any MLS Club | 10/1 | 9.1% |

Atletico Style Of Play Favours Fernandez
Atletico Madrid could be a possible landing spot for Fernandez, if his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.
Diego Simeone's side finished a disappointing fourth in La Liga last season, 19 points behind their neighbours and champions Real Madrid.
Atleti also reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they were beaten 5-4 on aggregate by Borussia Dortmund, who scored twice in the final 19 minutes to seal the comeback win.
Atletico are 7/4 favourites with football betting sites to be Fernandez's next club.
Magpies Could Swoop For Midfielder
Newcastle struggled to cope with the rigours of playing Champions League football last season and their form dipped as they finished seventh.
Manchester United's success in the FA Cup ended Newcastle's hopes of qualifying for Europe next season.
After participating in Europe's elite club competition, the goal is to return immediately. With no European football to distract them, the Magpies should be challenging for a top-four finish.
Adding Fernandez to their squad will give Newcastle (5/2) the experience they need to push on next season.
Staying At Stamford Bridge A Possibility
There is the possibility that the Argentine stays where is he and plays for Chelsea next season.
The Blues spent a lot of money on the midfielder and they have yet to see the best of the 23-year-old, whose best days are ahead of him.
The club and player will wait to see what the outcome is following FIFA's investigation.
Saudi Could Be An Option
The Saudi Pro League are always on the lookout for high-profile names, and landing a player of Fernandez's ability would be seen as a major coup.
Normally, players make the move to Saudi towards the end of their careers, but Fernandez could be tempted by the high wages on offer to players prepared to make the switch.
Fernandez may have won the World Cup and back-to-back Copa America titles, but he will want to add to his one and only success in Europe, which was helping Benfica to the title prior to his move to Chelsea.
Manchester United Would Make Sense
If Manchester United (6/1 on betting apps), wanted to sign the World Cup winner from Chelsea, they have the pulling power of having two of his Argentina team-mates waiting to welcome him.
Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho were both in the squad that secured the country's 14th Copa America title.
United, who finished 31 points behind champions Manchester City last season, continue to look at signing players that will improve their squad.
Barcelona Could Be Fernandez's Next Club
Barcelona have plenty of work to do this summer. They have replaced Xavi with former Bayern Munich and Germany manager Hansi Flick.
Barca finished runners-up to Real Madrid, who also won the Champions League last season, and Flick's number one goal will be to knock Real off their perch.
Adding Fernandez to a midfield that already boasts Gavi, Pedri and teenage sensation Lamine Yamal would certainly help Flick make Barcelona (7/1) a force once again.
A Move To The MLS Might Appeal To Fernandez
Similar to the Saudi Pro League, the MLS is always looking for players to raise the profile of the league across the globe.
Perhaps a move to the United States appeals to Fernandez, but at 23, it's probably too early to be talking about that.
A move to the MLS is 10/1 with new betting sites, which carries a 9.1% probability.
One other option for Fernandez, if he wants a fresh challenge, is a return to his former club Benfica (16/1).
