A new era begins at Anfield as Arne Slot takes over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager.

Anfield gave a fitting farewell to Klopp, who ended his eight-and-a-half-year tenure as Reds boss with a 2-0 win over Wolves on the final day of the season.

Klopp departs as the first manager in the club's history to have won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup in his time in charge of the Reds.

However, in January, the manager said he didn't have the energy to continue in the job beyond this season, so a well-earned break is on the cards for the 56-year-old.

His success as a manager means he will always receive offers in the future, but where will we see Klopp pop up next? The best betting sites have drawn up a market.

Germany The Obvious Choice

If Klopp lacked the energy to carry out the day-to-day duties of a club manager, then international management might appeal.

The chance to manage his native Germany will certainly be offered to him at some stage, and it's up to him as to when he might accept any such offer.

Klopp will want to repeat the success he had at Liverpool but he will be in no immediate rush to manage the country of his birth.

A lot will depend on this summer's European Championship in Germany as to when the position becomes available.

Julian Nagelsmann is in the job right now and he has committed to staying on after the Euros, but that could change if Germany perform poorly this summer.

Klopp is 2/9 on football betting sites to take the Germany job before any other.

Could Barca Appeal To Klopp?

It was only a few weeks ago when Barcelona thought they needed to find a new manager to replace Xavi, who announced he would be stepping down at the end of the season.

However, the Spanish midfielder performed a U-turn and has decided to stay on for the forthcoming campaign.

That doesn't mean Xavi would change his mind again if Barca get off to a slow start in next season's La Liga.

Barcelona's appeal remains one of the greatest in Europe, but Klopp might decide to wait until their financial situation improves before he considers being their manager.

Bayern Munich Need A Manager

Klopp will be a hard act to follow at Liverpool, but in Slot they have a man who joins the club full of confidence, after winning the Eredivisie title and the Dutch Cup in back-to-back seasons.

Bayern Munich need a new manager and if Klopp was to go there, it would be considerably easier to follow Thomas Tuchel, after his one and only season.

Tuchel took over Bayern looking to extend their successive title wins to 12, but for the first time since 2012, the club failed to win a trophy.

It might be too soon for Klopp to take the Bayern job (13/2), but if their next manager flops, Klopp could have recharged his batteries by then to return to management.

Dortmund Return A Possibility

Klopp is a manager who thrives when he has a connection with the club he is managing.

He identified with Liverpool and their supporters, just as he did at Borussia Dortmund too. A return to Signal Iduna Park is by no means an impossibility.

Klopp taking the BVB job next is available at 10/1. Edin Terzic’s side had a mixed season in the Bundesliga, but they have one game left to play this season.

And that's the Champions League final against Real Madrid at Wembley on Saturday, June 1.

If Klopp was to be offered the Dortmund job in the coming months, then he will inherit a very strong and capable squad.

Following Carlo At Real Madrid Would Be Tough

As managers have found in the past, following great managers can prove very difficult.

David Moyes struggled to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, while Unai Emery's spell as Arsenal boss immediately after Arsene Wenger proved very difficult.

Both have gone on to have great success elsewhere, but it's rarely a good career move to follow a hugely successful manager.

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the greatest managers football has ever seen, and his immediate replacement will find it tough to follow in his footsteps.

The Real Madrid job is 11/1 and Klopp might want to avoid that position for the time being.

Milan Could Be Klopp's Next Job

Klopp has conquered England and if he wanted to try his hand in Italy, there might be a very attractive job about to become available.

Milan are expected to move on from current manager Stefano Pioli, who has been in charge at the San Siro since October 2019.

During his time in charge of the Rossoneri, Pioli ended the club's 11-year wait for their 19th Serie A title, but his side are 19 points behind San Siro rivals Inter, who wrapped up their 20th Scudetto at the end of April.

Jurgen Klopp To Manage An English Club Again Odds

To Manage Another English Club3/125%

Whoever becomes Milan's next manager, they will be expected to close the gap with Inter and that might be a project that appeals to Klopp.

Klopp is 14/1 on betting apps to make the Milan job his next.

Would Klopp And England Be Perfect Partnership?

Klopp knows the English game inside out and he has developed current England internationals Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The current Three Lions squad is one of the strongest in years and they are expected to go far in this summer's European Championship in Germany.

This is likely to be Gareth Southgate's last major tournament as England boss, so the Football Association might be looking for a new manager.

Klopp would fit the bill perfectly and the schedule of 10 games a year means his energy levels wouldn't drain as fast as they did in club management.

New betting sites have odds of 16/1 that Klopp's next job will be the England manager's job.
