Who Will Headline The 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show?

The 2024 Super Bowl was a huge spectacle on the pitch as well as at halftime, when Usher was joined by several stars for a pulsating performance.

Usher was joined on stage by the likes of Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., will.i.am, Lil Jon and Ludacris at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, but talk on betting sites has already turned to who will headline next year's halftime event. 

The 2025 Super Bowl will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, the home of Lil Wayne, who has already put his name in the hat as a possible headline act. 

The Kansas City Chiefs won this year's Super Bowl, defeating the San Francisco 49ers, but at times it felt as though pop superstar Taylor Swift - the girlfriend of the Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce - had just as much screentime as the two teams during the game. 

Naturally, this has led to speculation about whether Taylor could headline next year's halftime show, but another huge star looks more likely. 

Miley Vs Taylor For 2025 Super Bowl? 

Miley Cyrus is the 11/8 favourite on specials betting sites to headline next year's Super Bowl halftime show. 

She has already had a fantastic start to 2024 after landing her first-ever Grammy Awards earlier this month, for Best Solo Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year for Flowers. 

Miley beat off competition from Taylor to win both accolades at the star-studded ceremony, and she looks set to overcome her fellow pop superstar by landing the coveted Super Bowl gig, too. 

Taylor has reportedly turned down the chance to headline the last two Super Bowls due to other commitments, and there is no guarantee she would want to play next year's event. 

The Love Story hitmaker could be concerned about missing out if Kelce and the Chiefs made it to the 2025 event.

And after Taylor recently announced a new album, The Tortured Poets Department, which will drop on April 19, 2024, she could be busy early next year working out a tour for the record. 

Taylor is 2/1 to headline the halftime showpiece, and if she is up for it there is surely no bigger star around right now. 

Thanks to her romance with Kelce, she is said to have boosted the NFL and the Chiefs' brand value, particularly among young women, and helped to increase sales in her man's replica jerseys. 

Swift will surely boost the NFL even further if she headlines a halftime show anytime soon. 

Dua To Do It For The Brits? 

Another huge star who impressed at the recent Grammy Awards was Billie Eilish, who took home the Song of the Year prize for What Was I Made For?.

In winning the accolade, Billie denied Taylor her first ever Song of the Year Grammy, but could she deny her the chance to headline the Super Bowl halftime show next year, too? 

Billie is the 3/1 third favourite on betting apps to take on the performance, while London-born artist Dua Lipa is the 4/1 fourth favourite. 

Dua could certainly hold her own on one of America's biggest stages, as could fellow Brits Ed Sheeran (6/1) and Adele (8/1). 

What's more, Jay-Z was in attendance at the 2024 Super Bowl, and he is 9/2 to follow in his wife Beyonce's 2013 footsteps and headline next year's halftime show, while Canadian rapper and singer Drake is 5/1. 

Lil Wayne's Super Bowl Homecoming? 

One star who has already admitted he would love to perform at the event is rapper and singer Lil Wayne. 

He is 15/2 on new betting sites to headline the show, and the star is "praying" the NFL offer him the gig. 

Speaking recently on the 4HUNNID podcast, Weezy said: "I will not lie to you. I have not got a call or nothing. 

"But we are praying. We praying. We keeping our fingers crossed. I’m working hard. I’mma make sure this next album and everything I do is killer. I wanna just make it hard for them not to holler at the boy."

Usher supported The Black Eyed Peas at the 2011 Super Bowl halftime show, and he went on to land his own performance in 2024. 

Red Hot Chili Peppers did the same for Bruno Mars in 2014, and the group are 12/1 outsiders, the same price as pop star Olivia Rodrigo, to return for their own headline slot in 2025.
