Serhou Guirassy Next Club Odds: Premier League Clubs Eye Up Stuttgart Striker
The transfer window is opened last week and the best betting sites believe Serhou Guirassy is one of the players who could be on the move.
The Guinea international is enjoying a fantastic season for Bundesliga surprise package Stuttgart, who sit third in the standings after 16 rounds of fixtures.
Only Harry Kane has scored more goals than Guirassy, whose 17 strikes have come in just 14 appearances.
Unsurprisingly, the former Rennes striker is now being linked with a move away from his current employers.
You can find the latest betting odds below, followed by our analysis of where Guirassy might end up.
Bayern Munich Often Hoover Up Bundesliga Talent
Bayern Munich are the favourites to land Guirassy, with football betting sites pricing them at Evens.
The Bavarian giants have a fight on their hands to win the Bundesliga this season, with Bayer Leverkusen currently leading the way.
But they have had few problems scoring goals thanks to Kane’s brilliant start to life in Germany.
As such, it is hard to see Bayern submitting a bid for Guirassy this month.
But given Stuttgart are unlikely to sell in the winter window anyway - not least because the forward is now away at the Africa Cup of Nations - that does not necessarily rule out Bayern being his next club.
Bayern have regularly hoovered up talent from elsewhere in the Bundesliga. Whether they need Guirassy as a priority is another question, however.
Manchester United Need Attacking Reinforcements
Manchester United certainly need to bolster their attacking options. Only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored fewer goals this season, with Rasmus Hojlund - their expensive summer signing - managing just one in the league so far.
Marcus Rashford is also out of form and Jadon Sancho appears to be on his way out, so United need more up front.
Guirassy is likely to be one name on their wish list and United were duly priced at 2/1 recently, however another poor showing by Hojlund against Wigan in the FA Cup has seen Guirassy's odds to move to Old Trafford cut into 5/4.
However, recent reports suggest the Red Devils do not have a great deal of money to spend in January despite the recent arrival of Jim Ratcliffe as a minority shareholder.
United could be contenders to land Guirassy, who is under contract at Stuttgart until 2026, in the summer.
Chelsea And West Ham Offer English Alternatives
Manchester United are unlikely to be the only club interested in signing Guirassy.
Betting apps believe Chelsea and West Ham United could also be contenders, offering odds of 2/1 and 3/1 respectively.
Chelsea have not been shy to splash the cash in the Todd Boehly era and they will no doubt go again in 2024.
Despite spending over £1bn up to now, their squad is still in need of improvement.
Their main weakness this season has been converting the chances they create, so a player like Guirassy would no doubt be welcomed by Mauricio Pochettino.
West Ham are also in need of a centre-forward. Jarrod Bowen is thriving in a central role so far this season, but he is unlikely to be at the London Stadium forever.
Arsenal And Tottenham Could Enter Race For Striker
Arsenal are another club that has been tipped to sign a striker sooner rather than later.
The suggestion is that the Gunners will have to wait until the summer to do so, but there is little doubt that a new attacker will arrive at the Emirates Stadium in 2024.
Ivan Toney remains their top target, but it has been reported that Brentford are set to demand £100m for their most prized asset.
Guirassy would be an affordable alternative, so some may like the look of odds of 6/1 with new betting sites.
Tottenham did not replace Harry Kane last summer, with Son Heung-min and Richarlison having shared the striker duties up to now.
They too will look to add to their options in the summer, but Spurs are seen as dark horses at 7/1 - especially with Timo Werner seemingly on the verge of arriving in north London.
Real Madrid And Wolves Among The Outsiders In This Race
Real Madrid (12/1) are once again all-in on Kylian Mbappe, who has been their primary transfer target for years now.
But the Frenchman has rejected the Blancos in the past and he could do so again, at which point Guirassy may appear on their radar.
Wolves are also outsiders at 20/1. If the Guinean continues scoring at his current rate, he will no doubt have offers from clubs competing in Europe, something Gary O’Neil’s side are unlikely to be doing in 2024/25.
