World Cup Betting Tips: Predictions & Best Odds For Saturday’s Games
After their shock defeat to Saudi Arabia, Argentina are the heavy favourites to bounce-back in a must win game against Mexico on Saturday.
Betting sites have priced Messi's men at 8/15 to get their World Cup campaign back on track.
Football fans can also look forward to an interesting showdown between France and Denmark in Group D, while Tunisia and Australia get proceedings underway at the Al Janoub Stadium.
They are followed by an intriguing clash in Group C, where for the first time ever, Saudi Arabia will attempt to secure qualification from the group stage with a win over Poland.
We have scoured all the best World Cup betting sites to find the most enticing markets and the sharpest odds on Saturday’s action.
Tunisia vs Australia Saturday, 10am
Despite the fact that Australia actually managed to find they net in their opening game of World Cup Group D and Tunisia didn’t, there can be little doubt on which country impressed more on their first outing.
Graham Arnold’s men may have had the perfect start when Craig Goodwin gave them the lead with a beauty against the defending world champions France, but they wilted from that point on and les Blues eased home to a 4-1 victory over Australia.
Meanwhile, Tunisia dug their heels in to come out with a very credible 0-0 with Denmark on Tuesday afternoon - and you’d have to say the north Africans even had their chances to win it against the talented Danes.
Aissa Laidouni was a combative force in midfield for Tunisia - even going as far as celebrating a hard tackle on fan favourite Christian Eriksen - while Australia will also need to be wary of striker Issam Jebali, who was a constant threat throughout his 80 minutes on the field.
However, it was in defence where the Eagles of Carthage impressed most and if a side of Denmark’s quality couldn’t pierce them, it’s hard to see an Aussie squad containing eight A-League and six Scottish Premiership players doing it.
Simply put, football betting sites believe Tunisia should send Australia out of the tournament with a victory here, and we fancy them to do so without letting a goal in.

Poland vs Saudi Arabia, Saturday, 1pm
For all their heroics against Argentina, Saudi Arabia remain big underdogs against Poland, who are expected to get up and running after opening with a goalless draw with Mexico.
Much was made of Robert Lewandowski’s missed penalty, with the Barcelona striker still without a World Cup goal in an otherwise stellar career.
You can only keep a striker as good as Lewandowski down for so long though, and the Saudis could have their hands full as he’ll be going all out to make amends for his penalty miss which cost his side victory in their opener.
It could be a case of normal service resumed for Saudi Arabia, perennial whipping boys at the World Cup, and Lewandowski will be at the forefront if his team are in the mood to get their campaign going.
With Argentina to come in their final group game, you’d have to expect Poland to be on the front foot from the off.
Tip: Lewandowski To Score Two Or More – 13/2 with Coral
France vs Denmark, Saturday, 4pm
France took a little while to get going in their opener with Australia, but once they found their rhythm they showcased just why so many punters and new betting sites have picked them to become the first side since Brazil (1958-1962) to defend the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Denmark – widely tipped as a dark horse for the tournament – underwhelmed in their first game, a 0-0 draw with Tunisia.
They did beat France 2-0 in the Nations League in September, but Les Bleus look to have brought their A-Game to Qatar and we expect them to control this meeting.
That said, the Danes are extremely well organised and don’t tend to concede many.
France may have to be patient, but with Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and veteran poacher Olivier Giroud in attack, they’ll likely breach Denmark’s defence sooner or later.
Tip: France To Win 1-0 - 6/1 With William Hill
Argentina vs Mexico, Friday, 7pm
Three disallowed goals and a failure to take advantage of a lead saw Argentina lose 2-1 to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, marking one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history as Saudi Arabia were 25/1 outsiders with betting apps.
That result halted their 36-match unbeaten run just one short of equalling Italy’s international record.
Although they’ll have been more disappointed with their start to the tournament, with that just the sixth time that an Argentinian side has lost an opening fixture at the finals.
They would have been relieved to see upcoming opponents Mexico draw 0-0 with Poland in the other Group C fixture but victory over Mexico is paramount if they want to avoid a group-stage exit for the first time since 2002.
Tip: Argentina -1 - 6/4 with Bet365
