NHL Picks: Ottawa Senators vs. Winnipeg Jets Odds & NHL Predictions

⭐ Pick: Winnipeg Jets Moneyline (-136) at FanDuel

The Senators take on the Jets for the second time this preseason. Last Friday, the Sens outlasted the Jets 3-1 to satisfy -300 odds on the home ice. Winnipeg outshot Ottawa 34-33 and blew a second-period lead, as Roby Jarventie and Claude Giroux turned the game on its head. Laurent Brossoit guarded the cage for the Jets, and Connor Hellebuyck is expected to patrol the crease this time around.

The Jets are on a three-game slide. They lost at the Calgary Flames 5-4 last Monday, blowing a 3-1 lead. Hellebuyck yielded five goals on 46 shots, and I’m expecting to see a much better display from a two-time All-Star.

On the other side, Joonas Korpisalo is projected to guard the cage for the Senators, who aim for their fourth straight win. Korpisalo was in the crease for Ottawa’s lone loss this preseason, as the Sens suffered a 4-3 defeat at the Montreal Canadians on September 27. He yielded four goals on just 21 shots.

I’m expecting Hellebuyck to make a difference in this clash. Also, the Jets must be fired up to snap their skid even though we’re still in the preseason, so Winnipeg Jets (-136) at FanDuel are my first NHL preseason prediction for Thursday night.

⭐ Pick: Winnipeg Jets Moneyline (-136) at FanDuel

NHL Picks: St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars Odds & NHL Predictions

Dallas Stars Moneyline (-118) at FanDuel

Our best NHL bets today  continue with the Central Division showdown from American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. St. Louis faces off against Dallas for the second time this preseason, and the Stars edged the Blues 4-3 in overtime this past Saturday, overcoming a two-goal first-period deficit. The Blues were -120 moneyline favorites at the neutral site in Independence, Missouri, and the Stars are home favorites this time around.

Dallas outshot St. Louis 29-15 last weekend. Colten Ellis and Jordan Binnington split the time in the crease for the Blues, and Binnington, who allowed one goal on 13 shots, is projected to get the nod tonight. On the other side, we should see Jake Oettinger making his preseason debut.

Oettinger is arguably one of the best netminders in the league. Last season, he went 37-11-11 with a 2.37 GAA and .919 save percentage, finishing fifth in the Vezina Trophy voting. Oettinger has gone 3-2-1 with a shiny 1.68 GAA and .944 SV% against the Blues throughout his career, so I’m looking for the 24-year-old star to be a difference-maker in this clash. Hereof, my second NHL preseason prediction is Dallas at the moneyline odds (-118) with FanDuel Sportsbook.

⭐ Recommended Bet: Dallas Stars Moneyline (-118) at FanDuel

NHL Picks: Arizona Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks Odds & NHL Predictions

Coyotes vs. Ducks Over 6.0 Goals (-120) at bet365

The Arizona Coyotes carry a four-game losing streak into Thursday’s showdown at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. During that stretch, the Yotes have lost to the Los Angeles Kings 3-2, Dallas Stars 7-0, Vegas Golden Knights 3-1, and Anaheim Ducks 5-4.

Last Sunday, the Coyotes blew a 3-1 lead in that narrow loss to the Ducks. Karel Vejmelka gave up five goals on 22 shots, and the 27-year-old goalie is expected to patrol the crease once more tonight. On the other side, Ryan Strome led the way for Anaheim with a couple of goals, while Lukas Dostal turned 24 of 28 shots aside. John Gibson will get the nod Thursday, and he allowed four goals on 40 shots in a 4-1 defeat at the Kings this past Tuesday.

The Ducks have gone 4-2 over their six outings this preseason. Four of their last five showings have seen six or more goals on the scoreboard, so one of my best NHL bets today is Coyotes vs. Ducks Over 6.0 Goals (-120) at bet365.
