BetMGM Partners With Carnival To Provide Gambling Options on Cruise Ships
BetMGM announced a new partnership on Friday with Carnival Corporation to “deliver world-class retail and mobile sports betting and iGaming experiences to cruise ship guests.”
What’s In The Deal
With this partnership, BetMGM gaming will be available on more than 50 ships ported in the United States. The vessel will include those under Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, and Princess Cruises. This process will begin rolling out “over the coming months.”
"We've found an ideal partner in Carnival Corporation and look forward to providing our sports betting and iGaming products to its millions of passengers," BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in a news release. "This is another great opportunity for us to further expand BetMGM's footprint."
On these ships, BetMGM and Carnival will offer digital and cash-based sports betting and digital-based casino play across international waters, joining some of the best online casino sites.
The two companies will continue to collaborate on promotional and co-marketing materials.
"We're very proud to be able to deliver the excitement and engagement of sports betting and iGaming to our guests through our partnership with BetMGM. Our two leading global hospitality organizations will provide a wide array of immersive digital content as a complement to our exceptional shipboard casinos,” Marty Goldman, SVP of Global Casino Operations for Carnival Corporation, said in the release.
Responsible Gaming a Focus
With this new partnership in mind and taking BetMGM into different territories, responsible gaming remains a key focus, according to the company.
BetMGM will provide customers with resources, including GameSense, a program developed and licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. GameSense is integrated within BetMGM’s desktop and mobile platforms.
