To BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt, winning the American Gambling Awards Golden Eagle two years in a row is “an incredible honor.”

The Golden Eagle is presented during the Gambling.com Group’s annual American Gambling Awards ceremony. The Golden Eagle honors the top companies, organizations and executives in U.S. online gambling.

Established in 2019, the American Gambling Awards are the first of its kind dedicated only to the U.S. market and exclusively to online gambling.

This year’s event is set for Nov. 21 in New York City.

In 2022 and 2023, BetMGM was recognized as Online Casino of the Year, highlighting the company’s outstanding performance and dedication to providing a first-rate online casino experience.

Greenblatt said the American Gambling Awards have set “a high standard in our industry, motivating us and our peers to continually strive for excellence.”

“This award is not just a testament to our success, but also a reflection of the vibrant and competitive spirit that drives the entire online gaming community,” he told Gambling.com.

‘First-Class’ Company

In July 2018, MGM Resorts International and Entain Holdings signed a joint venture deal to create BetMGM. Three months later, BetMGM welcomed Greenblatt as CEO.

Since then, BetMGM has established numerous partnerships, including with major sports leagues and with media outlets such as Yahoo Sports and The Athletic.

In addition to being the sports-betting partner for MGM Resorts, including on mobile platforms and at MGM's land-based casinos, BetMGM’s offerings extend to its sister brands — Borgata Online, PartyCasino and partypoker.

Last year, while citing BetMGM for its second straight Golden Eagle, Charles Gillespie, the Gambling.com Group’s CEO, praised BetMGM for the company’s comprehensive game portfolio “and first-class execution of all the digital fundamentals.”

Reflecting on the back-to-back wins, Greenblatt expressed appreciation for the honor.

"Winning the Online Casino of the Year at the American Gambling Awards for two consecutive years is an incredible honor for BetMGM,” he said. "This recognition from the Gambling.com Group underscores the hard work and innovation our team puts into providing a superior experience for our players.”

Innovators Take Home More Than One Golden Eagle

In addition to BetMGM, other companies have won two or more Golden Eagles. They include:

FanDuel

  • Sportsbook of the Year: FanDuel has demonstrated consistency and excellence by winning the Sportsbook of the Year award three times. The company’s victories in 2019, 2022 and 2023 showcase its continued dominance and innovation in the sports betting market. In 2019, the category was initially named Sports Betting Operator of the Year, reflecting FanDuel’s early leadership in the industry.

PaySafe

  • Payment Service Provider of the Year: PaySafe has won the Payment Service Provider of the Year award twice, in 2019 and 2023. The company’s success in this category demonstrates its reliability and innovation in payment processing solutions for the gambling industry. PaySafe’s ability to adapt and deliver secure, efficient payment services has made them a trusted partner for many operators.
