Buffalo Bills Super Bowl Favorites with Training Camp Underway
To celebrate all 32 franchises practicing on July 30, the NFL has branded the day as Training Camp: Back Together Saturday presented by Wilson.
The NFL Network will carry 13 hours of live coverage starting at 9 a.m. ET, while the NFL Network’s “Inside Training Camp” starts on July 25.
The show will provide extensive coverage of training camp throughout the summer.
Super Bowl Favorites
With training camp underway, the Buffalo Bills enter as the preseason Super Bowl betting favorites at +500 on DraftKings Sportsbook and +650 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Tom Brady’s return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has the team with the second-shortest odds at +750 on FanDuel, while Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers have their teams slotted in with the third-best odds at +1000 over at DraftKings.
The defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams are +1100 to repeat both at DraftKings and FanDuel to round out the top five favorites.
Uncertainty around Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson’s legal situation and standing with the league had previously kept the Browns off odds boards for much of the offseason.
But both DraftKings and FanDuel have Super Bowl lines for Cleveland, with the Browns at +3000 on DraftKings and +2800 at FanDuel.
Watson’s former team, the Houston Texans, has the longest odds at +30000 on FanDuel.
Home Practices Becoming a Trend
Except for 2020, when every team stayed at home because of to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 26 organizations staying home this summer are tied with 2021 for the most since 2000.
Teams considered to be “staying home” are those with a camp at their respective practice facility, home stadium or a site within 10 miles of their headquarters. By contrast, only 10 of 31 teams (32%) stayed near home to practice.
This season, 24 teams have scheduled joint practices with other clubs.
Starting on August 10, Miami and Tampa Bay will hold practices together at AdventHealth Training Center in Tampa. In addition to Miami and Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Dallas, New England, the New York Jets, Philadelphia and Tennessee will also practice against multiple opponents.
