Delaware Sports Betting, iGaming Suffer Big Losses in February
Delaware saw a substantial decrease in sports betting activity in February, following a national trend of lower sports handles in the shortest month of the year.
The state reported a handle of $5.4 million ($5.2 million from sportsbooks, $205,583 from sports lottery retailers), a decline of 57% from January’s $12.6 million ($8.4 million from sportsbooks, $4.2 million from sports lottery retailers).
February’s sports betting revenue was $54,281 ($98,135 from sportsbooks, -$43,854 from sports lottery retailers), down 97.2% from January’s $1.9 million ($765,092 sportsbooks, $11.1 million from sports lottery retailers).
There is no online sports betting market in Delaware. The state’s sports lottery retailers feature only football parlay cards, and the only football game in February was the Super Bowl.

Delaware iGaming Figures
Delaware iGaming handle was $24.4 million, a decrease of 16.4% from January’s $29.2 million. The iGaming revenue for the month was $843,247, a decline of 24.8% from January’s $1.1 million.
Delaware Gaming Industry
Delaware has land-based casinos and horse racing legalized in the state. The three casinos are Dover Downs in Dover, Delaware Park Racetrack and Slots in Wilmington and Harrington Raceway and Casino in Harrington.
Combined, the casinos offer nearly 10,000 different types of tables games and slots, in addition to horse racing and sports betting.
